I have a suggestion. In Arab countries, a camel driver will notice a camel getting more and more unresponsive, disobedient, trying to bite him, etc. To counter this activity, he will leap off the back of the camel, release the reins, and spread his cloak out in front of the animal.

The poor witless creature thrashes, tosses the cloak in the air, hoots, bellows and eventually in the peanut size brain of the dromedary, the score is settled.

How about I list a custom glock or a painted up PSA long gun and price it at $3,000, announcing "I am going to put this back in the safe unless you buy it!"

We could call it the "ad stomping" thread and people could feel free to sneer, deride, insult and ask all sorts of questions like "can you program the optics to glow brighter if it someone you don't want to shoot?"

It might help hopelessly sarcastic folks like me avoid biting off the ends of my fingers when I see these moronic ads..... yep. I am the camel. I admit it.

Iā€™ll take it. :D

It's a solid item. But "priced to high, because......"

Yes, I've been guily a time or few of mentioning things in ads. Thinking I was helping the seller..

Hell I did it in person last week with a young fella I work with..

Don't remember the group convo going on. Then he offered to sell a Shield .40 with 3 cheap holsters for $400. Right off I said "new ones can be found for $279 shipped". He called BS, gave some opinions about price.

I'm a jerk, so I hit the Google, and pulled up an on sale model for $250. Offered said $250 and he could keep accessories and ammo.

Hell, I really had/have no interest in it but since he "knew" what he had, I figured I'd prove my opinion. In his defense. We live in the land of the $600 gun store Glock.

I hope he gets his sale price as I presume that's what he paid. Also hope he comes back and accepts my offer for a "used" shield:D

Has anyone ever purchased a gun that didnt come with a magazine? I could understand an older collector type firearm that has been out of production for a long time, but they still usually have at least 1 magazine.

To me that's also odd. Who wants to purchase a firearm you can't readily try out? No mag included? I expect a revolver...

I bought a G19 with no mag. It wasn't custom, and it was $350, I didnt hesitate since I may or may not already have a stash of Glock mags to use. For the record, they work just fine without the mags that come with them as long as you have the right kind to go in them... I don't think you have to buy the mags based on your serial number, so any of them for that model should work. YMMV

What kind of dumbass can't just buy a mag separately from the gun, especially one as universal as a Glock? Dude stated it clearly in the ad, some people just have to be cute.

I've bought 2 pistols and 1 rifle without mags; in 2 instances, the owners had compatible firearms that used the same mags and they wanted to keep them, and in one it was an inherited item and the mag could not be found. In every instance I was able to rile up the couple dozen brain cells it took to buy the magazines from a retail establishment and was 100% happy with the very predictable results (as in, they worked fine).

Yes, Garands use enblocs.

To the people who are asking if they can purchase this treasure. I do need to let you know that you will need to be willing to fill out a bill of sale, and we will need to go to the sheriff's office to have it notarized. I will need a statement of good character witness signed by at least three people. This is just for my protection.

You in the market for a pool liner too?

I bought a Glock on here that had no magazines with it. Fine with me because I have plenty of Glock magazines. I did ask the seller. He said that he bought the gun out of New York and it had 10 round magazines, nobody here wants 10 round magazines. He was able to get the seller to discount it and sell it with no magazines. He was selling it just the way he bought it.

Several years ago I bought 5 Mossberg US44 rifles without mags for $75 ea. from the CMP. New Triple K mags are available now for $50 ea.
