So what do you do when your tiny 5 year old keeps asking you for a rifle? After trying other options you give in and buy one of the smallest production rifles available....a hardwood stocked Savage Rascal. I should have just done this in the first place because I have to admit I'm impressed by the rifle. Trigger is awesome, all functions are smooth, fit and finish is nice and straight out of the gate I could wear out a quarter at 25 yards using the stock peep sights. I'm sure I could play with ammo, add a scope and get it to tighten up but IMO that's not too bad.
What happens when the 11.75" LOP is still way too long? You run the stock through the bandsaw and take 2" off of it to make it fit her. At that point you might as well refinish it right? When this story plays out you end up with something like this.
