I'm going to powder coat my bullets mainly because they will be shot out of stock Glock barrels. My question is this, does the Lee TL356-124-2R bullet powder coat better than the 356-125-2R bullet? And does the Lee TL401-175-SWC or 401-175-TC work better with powder coating? Also looking at TL452-230-2R vs 452-228-1R? Any help/advise would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think the difference between the micro grooved TL bullets and traditional lube groove matters.

I have PC'd Lee's traditional TC in 9mm, 40, and 45 all worked very well.

Have not tried any TL versions.

100% agree. I've powder coated quite a few different bullets and styles. Powder and process makes a much bigger difference than bullet shape.

You can power coat any type of lube groove or non groove cast lead bullet. I've PC'ed TL as well as standard grease groove bullets for four different bullet mold mfg. and there is not difference in how the coating sticks to the bullet. They all take the coating just fine.

All of those bullets will coat fine. The Lee TL 9mm had tumbling problems out of my G34, but not my G17, G19, or g26.
Hope that helps. The Lee 230gr TC 452 worked better for me that the ones you had listed.

I know its and old thread but one thing of note is that on some RN cast lead bullet designs especially 9 mm powder coating increases the diameter of the ogive which doesn't get sized and can cause chambering issues when loaded to manual length. Not all handguns especially 9 mm have the same chamber throats, some are more forgiving some are not and it's one reason I like the TC style of bullets in my 9 mm handguns.
