The problem is this for many of you @Geezer like individuals :
"The militia of the United States consists of all able-bodied males at least 17 years of age and, except as provided in section 313 of title 32, under 45 years of age who are, or who have made a declaration of intention to become, citizens of the United States and of female citizens of the United States who are members of the National Guard.”"

So I have about 7 more days of being eligible according to US code, but I have armed every 17 year old and older male family member with a well-regulated assortment of militia grade weaponry ;)

Not necessarily. This here was one badass:

Can I identify as a 30 year old to qualify for the age requirement? The ridiculousness of the liberal thought will come around to bite them one of these days. I suppose we just need to keep pointing out the absurd by suggesting absurd things that are consistent with their absurd ideas. Nah. They probably would not get it. They are like that you know.

Yep. I feel much healthier now than I did a few years back. But we will have to have 110Vs in militia camp for my CPap [emoji41][emoji23]
If we were to bring back the militia, it would still need a large contingent of logistics people to support the shooter. Warfare has gotten more sophisticated since the days of standing in a line and volleying muskets. Perfect jobs for us older folks.

I'm thinking a hostile takeover of key "distribution centers" of a certain online retailer along with a certain brick and mortar big box that it competes with should work well. Just have to pay the workers more than the minimum wage they earn now

Congress has nothing to do with the militia. What there should be is a national militia club and just start meetings. When its a million strong, then have an unarmed millitia march on washington to let them know we mean business. Then start having armed meetings and training. Make the new NRA truly 2nd amendment.

Asymmetrical warfare is the foundation of resistance fighting. ;)

Maybe it's time to scout out those locations and make a tentative plan. ;)

As one well known preparedness consultant once advised me, you should detail scout your own A/O and determine where the resources are and what it would take to aquire them.

Once we have these kinds of numbers, why have an unarmed march? Why obey their infringent? They don't deserve to be obeyed, they deserve to obey.

Edit to add: some WW1 veterans learned the hardway the folly of an unarmed march on Washington. Their mistake should be repeated.

When was this? Bonus army?

I know when the center data for book of faces is. Know where the electrical substation that feeds the building is.

Besides knowing where distribution centers are you also need to know where natural choke points are. If certain bridges are controlled you control movement of people. Know where you live and be ready to take advantage when the time presents itself.

Wonder if the forum owners will post pics when the black Suburbans make a visit?
Had a classic covert black Suburban cruise the lot the other day. Complete with government tags and dude wearing shades.

They drive nondescript sedans, wear polos and khakis and look like church people out proselytizing right up until they flash credentials.

Very professional folks, though. They even give you a business card after you spend 48 minutes with them, in the heat, on your front porch as you chat.

They should be professional... after all you paid good money for them:)

You should also have an understanding of Backup/Emergency Generators and UPS system switchgear breakers and their single point of failure, that are not usually protected from a simple screwdriver entry.

Wouldn't ever attempt a screwdriver entry. Something alot farther away with wind drift in the equations. Also backups have to be fueled so there might be several Achilles heals to exploit. There are several reasons to have some old surplus 30 cal ammo with painted tips.

"Consists of" - yes. "Restricted to" - no. Never has been. The Old Man's Fight Club has a place even in today's world.

If you haven't done this, get on your local county GIS mapping system and get the satellite view if your area. Google works too, but the GIS system has more info. Sometimes, resources can't be seen from the road. Also, get the property lot maps and ownership info. You can also measure distance with the system. While you're at it, get out the range finder and distance to target the fire lanes around your house. Like that corner of the building down the street, where someone might use as cover is 466yds away. So, that might be a 4.25mil hold over. Not, that I know anyone that's done that.

I can't help but think...an unarmed Militia? Could you at least let them carry pitch forks, torches, clubs? At least a sumari sword!!! Unarmed, against armed seems a little sketchy to me. I don't know a lot about warfare, but I wouldn't be to comfortable with them odds. Just saying.

The true weapon is knowledge. You can use common every day items and make some very useful material that can destroy structures. Knowledge is power.
