Did You Go Shooting Today

Did a drill each of the Wizard and El Presidente. While scoring took two incoming and 20mm system engaged mortar rounds overhead. No injuries and another day downrange.

Now that will break your concentration! Stay safe over there.

Been twice this week.

One shot of 22LR tonight. One shot earlier this week.

Shot about 72 rounds from my trusty old Les Baer stainless Stinger. I've managed to lose two front sights...they just fell out somewhere on the range. I didn't like it anyway after having it installed because it was HUGE. I shot alright for a girl....hehehe;)

I didn’t get pictures, sadly. But my father, brother, and sister in law went to a local indoor range today. We got my brother a Ruger GP for his birthday and we wanted him and his wife to get familiar with it.

While there we shot my SP101 Tactical, my Ruger .22, my P07, and a few of my fathers toys.

The star of the day, for me, is my dad brought out an original Colt 1903 Hammerless .32 ACP. Kitted out with Pearl Colt furniture. Guys. I am in love. This little pistol shot as accurate as I am, negligible if not pleasant recoil. Fits great in the hand and has a substantial yet minimal heft to it. A truly classy firearm. I wish they still made them.

I go back and forth between begging him to let me have it to carry every day to wanting him to have it put in a locked air tight caress forever.

I love many of my firearms. But this one was something special.

Pic of an example similar: (his wasn’t engraved)

Went to Woody's today. A mix of discontinued, old, and older handguns: SW 1006 1omm, Webley MkIV .38 made in 1956 from the London Metro PD, and a military issue Webley MkVI .455 from 1917.

Finished up with some .44 mag reloads through my Rossi 92 and a hail storm of shot and buck from my Police 1187 12ga. The 3" magnum OO buck gave me a headache so I quit for the day.

I was out there on the long distance range.

@B00ger those Colts are one of my favorites, too. They are so thin and rounded, perfect for a pocket.

Hey @B00ger ger get over to Midsouth in Wagram. I sold him one a while back. Factory Nickel and Pearl. I have one I'll get @Geezer to put up a picture of. I sent it to Wayne Novak for his sights and a tune up and refinish. If I had to get a gun Right Now and be Sure I could put a round on a nickel at 7 yards, this is the go to.

Everyone needs to make the trip to Wagram..... I can spend hours in that store.

I went shooting at Battery Oaks today. It was almost too hot to shoot, but I did get 10 rounds out of the RIA, and another shooter also shot it for 10 rounds. I shot Billy's Glock with the .22 conversion on it, and hit the big gong and a couple of oxygen bottles from what I guess was about 25 feet, maybe. (I can't judge distances well. Maybe Billy knows. It seemed much farther than I shoot at the range.)

I can't believe it was too hot to shoot, but after about an hour, I had to quit!

A good day and great company!

To the "regular" range today for 36 rounds of 38spl and about 150 in the 1911 9mm, with a few problems...nothing new there. I did get the target out to 7 yards today with the 9mm shooting, and did pretty well.

Just came Back from another little "spearmint". Shot 50 rounds of mine and Mike's 9 mm Hell Loads. They are formidable! 147 FMJFP at 1,200 from a 5 inch gun. @Geezer pulled about an hour ago. Bout time for ole folks to fold up for the evening. Good shower and a good book and then blow out the lamp.

Yeah, those hell loads should blow out the lamp.

Took my slide to get another front sight put back on. Shot 56 rounds from the Predator, and helped a young lady that wants to join the police force locally. She was a rifle shooter, .22 I think, and just needed some basics with a handgun. She and her mother were very happy with their results, so it made for a very good day. Great gal, she will make an excellent officer. She stood about 6'1" and stout. I'm only about 5'6" and she towered over me.

Was hoping to get down to H2O this morning but saw a video on facebook and looks like they had some flooding and some damage from storms last night

I took the 1911 9mm to the range for some therapy, and pushed the targets out much farther than I have in some time. I also tried shooting with both eyes open. It was an interesting experience.

I took one target out to 25 yards, and I hit the paper, at least. Mostly I shot at 7 & 10 yards.

Yes, of course. We need to "mortify" our new Wizard Target. When a target on either end is shot the other end falls also. The arms are too long. Allowing Whip. We need to move both outboard "heads" much closer to the center. Ugh! Where's all these Engineers when I need one? Ya'll know Ima pore half ignernt old shooter. Anyway, we'll get it fixed.
