Man Shot for Resisting Red Flag Gun Confiscation #WeToldYouSo

From the comments:

I’ve been served with one of these orders in King County (Seattle, WA). Astonishing to hear local authorities saying it’s a smooth process. He is talking out both sides of his mouth. One we have presumably unstable individual who are a danger to themselves, on the other hand they are minding “a legal” court order. You see these types of orders often in family law cases where one side files for a protection order. This is done to gain an upper hand in child custody and often takes several months to sort out. While your weapons are in law enforcement custody they will run ballistics testing on them. They compare those ballistics in a database to see if used in a crime. IF you get your weapons back you’ll have to file a petition to have ballistic data from Your weapons removed from database (if that matters to you). The order to surrender weapons typically requires you to surrender all ammunition also which WILL NOT BE RETUNED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Ammo is immediately destroyed. The reason this program runs smoothly is because it’s a big net that captures far more law abiding citizens then alleged dangerous folks. After my experience.... was left with no confidence in our political or judicial system. Innocent until proven guilty, due process, the constitution. Without a willingness to exercise your second amendment (through force if necessary)..... the constitution is nothing more then words on paper.

Can anyone confirm this?

This is old news.
In all fairness, same OP was worried a video might be pulled of Biden...from six years ago. lol
But I like that he's out here working trying to expose us to things

I spent time trying to find sources to the New News story so I could pass it on. I should have checked the video date. I get a heads up on a lot of my news here since the mass media is dead. Keep that in mind when posting as I'm not alone

I’ve noticed a lot of times, supposed online news articles lack a date. Intentionally, I suspect.

That's incredibility Rich as I also posted the link it came from and stated that the text came from "The Comments Section." "RIF"

Concerning Biden Video? It is very plausible it could be scrubbed and as with recent Biden Gaffes even more so. As to down loading it? Reason is / was to play it for Liberals if & when I engage them in conversation on their "Political Leaders" position~s. Bottom line when it is removed no one can link to it.

I'm NOT trying to Expose(?) anything to you or the masses. I share content that I feel is relevant and you as a Whole Expose yourselves, so I guess you can just Turn The Channel.

Do you not consider 'sharing content' exposing people to things?

You seem to have an interesting choice of words and context.

First, this forum's theme is primary firearm related and what I post has been and is firearm related. So in my understanding is I'm not exposing anyone to firearm related content as those that are here are ( presumably ) here for the same reason~s.

I interpret your meaning of sharing or as you put, exposing people to things as ,, hum ,, devious?

I would wholeheartedly agree that if this forum was for "Cooking" or "Antique Autos" and someone or myself posted firearm related info that would be exposing others to it.

You have a real tendency to take personal affront when no insult is being made. I said online articles are intentionally lacking a date. That way you don't know if it's stale information or not - by design. This doesn't mean or say that YOU were doing anything.

Exposing people to thing, in my opinion, is not devious.

But for your last part - exposure, in my opinion, is finding out that in WA that might be taking and destroying your ammo

1st I’d heard, and ammo’s destroyed? Great... now I gotta cache 1/2 my ammo as well.

This is reported in comments from the Seattle Washington Area. As you realize every jurisdiction ( if RFL are implemented ) will have its own , hum , Rules?

I was curious as well and looked into it to learn how much Infringement one must endure.

I found no clear answer, however I read the following which states ( for WA State ) any individual awarded a Red Flag will be entered into the NICS System as well.

I may be wrong , but I believe if one is treated as or is a felon you can not have ammo.

Wyatt says ERPO’s don’t just mean you have to surrender your existing weapons. You also can’t buy a gun while it’s in effect.

“As soon as the ex-parte or emergency order is signed, the law enforcement or individual brings it back to the clerk’s office. The clerk’s office is mandated by statute to immediately get that into system. They also contact local law enforcement so that it hits all the databases within Washington state, including into the national NICS system so that it flags specifically for firearms purchase.”

So, in other words, you land in the same databases you do if you’re a felon or anyone else not allowed to have a gun.

Will I see the person who asked for the order at the court hearing?
Assume that the person who is asking for the order will attend the hearing.

Do I need a lawyer?
It is not required, and you are not entitled to a free court-appointed attorney. You can ask the court clerk about free and low-cost legal services.

I think we got lots of tinfoiling going on, but nevertheless I appreciate the original post, I hadn’t thought about the loss of ammo or ballistic testing. I wonder if they take reloading equipment and supplies? How about casting supplies? I know that we don’t know the answers, just pondering.

BTW I truely hate that internet stories are often undated.

I believe you have a point when it comes to, hum, technical, semi-technical issues, what works or why it doesn't work, etc. I am a technician and at the level to where some of my Peers have asked where I got my engineering degree from.
SO you ( Noway ) being an engineer may be able to understand this more than others.

That way you don't know if it's stale information or not - by design. This doesn't mean or say that YOU were doing anything.
Understood
The majority of us are concerned about ( or not ) is what our Leaders(?) are going to do and in trying to present relevant /accurate info in context to others with the same concerns from different sources can be challenging.

In this case it is comments from another 2A brother and it was not the main piece or content even though it is related and even the subject matter.
