Did You Go Shooting Today

I did, for the third day in a row, I think. I shot the 9mm 1911 again, about 200 rounds. I made small circles on the backs of targets (I forgot to take copy paper) and shot 5 rounds at each one. I did it at 7 yards, as advised, but it was a mess, and then a guy in the next lane wanted a go with the 1911, so the paper got pretty messy. You can tell where I shot though. I went slower than I usually do, as advised.
I moved the next target in to 5 yards, and it looks a lot better.

Any day at the range is a good day!

Went and shot some USBR targets. High score was only a 228, but overall I was happy. Benchrest is my relax time. I am surprised I have not fallen asleep with my cheek on the stock.

Braved the heat today and made a trip to the range. Took the 7.5" 223 AR pistol, 10.5" 300 BO AR pistol and the CZ 223.
All ARs ran great. Still have less than 150 rounds down range on the 7.5 and maybe 300 through the Black Out. The CZ I could not keep less then 1 MOA at 100 yards but there was some wind moving the target stands. The 7.5" was shot at 25 yards and 40 yards standing. Shots were shot in 9 to 10 shot burst (less than 10 seconds) with flip up sights. The color target was the 25 yards shots. After shooting the CZ on paper I took it to the 500 yard range and no problem with the 12" steel at 300 and 400 yards. Before I left, there was a 3" steel at 300 yards with a cross range shot. First shot missed the right hand side of the target maybe by an inch and the second on spun the target. Tine to leave of a positive note.

Made it out to FLD today and brought along my M&P15-22, CZ Scorpion (with can and brace) and my AR pistol to get them all zero’d at 50 yds and then have some fun. Glad I got there right at noon because the 100yd range quickly became standing room only. After about 250 rounds and 10 lbs of sweat, I decided to pack up and let someone have my bench.

Love the Scorpion but the grip, trigger and right side safety have got to go. Already placed an order for HBI goodies.

Can’t tell you the last time I went shooting, that had to change. All of my friends were busy so I went out to PHA to sweat by butt off solo.

I even surprised myself and shot pretty darn well while running some mini-courses, run and gun type stuff.

Also zeroed in my new Vortex Diamondback Tac FFP on my Savage .308. Just using cheap, and apparently inconsistent, ZQI 7.62 at 100yd, I’ll take this. Gotta load up some 175gr good stuff for next time.

Stepped over to the "shooting range" since I was down at the barn burning papers. Only shot 20 rounds, but it was mostly to see how stout a new load felt. Maybe when it cools a bit I might break out the chrony and see what they're doing speed-wise. I'll need to get some better targets by then too, lol. The paper plates I left up since last time left me wondering old hits vs new. All the Wizard talk has me wondering too-

Shot around a hundred rounds at the Glock match in Topton Pennsylvania. Manage to shave for 4 seconds off last year's time using a Glock 17 in the civilian category. Still trying to get that elusive first place pistol award

Shoulda been here in the shade with the fan blowing...…..Bull Shiite, it was still hot.

Last few range trips I had to bring a extra shirt or 2 because I could not stand myself on the drive back home. Temp was around 94 but it felt like 101 or 2.

Word to the wish. Note the AR pistol and AR magazine with red tape. What does that mean? YES -300 Black Out gun and ammo get RED TAPE. All magazines and boxes of 300 BO ammo also have the red tape on it. The last think I want to try is shooting a 300 round in the 223.

If you look close at mine the 300 is written in Silver Sharpie right on the stock and magwell, as well as on the magazine. Plus I know the 300 is the only one I have Trijicon ACOG on.

I wanted to try out my new .22 conversion kit on my G19....but I left the magazine and loader at home......grrrrr. So today was 1911 .45 day and Glock 9mm day.

Just got back from the range. Ran about 150 rounds thru my new AR9 pistol.....sighted it in at 100 yds.......so much fun to shoot. Also, put about 50 rounds thru my CZ.....first time I have shot it since I put the CGW spring kit in. Shot so much better. No problems with either.

JUST came in. Had a visitor. A HK shooting specialist. As quick to the first shot as is usually seen. Tried The Wizard.
The Wizard is a Monster. He swallowed this man "cold" and then through 7 more tries. He did like the rest of us after several tries. First 3 head shots all under 1.7 seconds. Last 2 …….both over time. FAIL!!!!!!

Yes, I did. Tried out the .22 conversion for the G19, managed to take the magazines along this time. It was really nice, but my shooting was pretty awful. Did 60 rounds in that one.

Shot the RIA 100 rounds, love that gun. Did really well on some targets Button Pusher gave me. Tiny circles! Pics later.

i went out today to try out a few new mags. i bought a beretta 84 cheetah mag and modified it to fit my astra a60, which is almost impossible to find mgs for. i did, however find an a60 mag and it arrived yesterday, so i went and tried both out today. i could only get 12 rounds in thr a60 mag; it is supposed to hold 13. the 11th round also failed to feed. i will have to buy another box of ammo and focus on that mag as i had to try out the cheetah mag out, too, which ran fine, but i only had 10 rounds in it. i had already run the gun with the mag that came with it and had run 2 mags through my new-to-me bersa thunder that i stole for $105 on gunbroker. i bought a box of 380 for $11 at greensboro gunshow from the minuteman munitions booth. they are in greensboro and even make polymer? 9mm ammo for $10.

Ran paratroopers thru another Shoot/No Shoot scenario/drill with their M4s, then had them run it again with a 1954 AK. This morning had two incoming mortar rounds. Do prefer the outgoing type.

ETA: #35 for the month just went whizzing overhead.
