Here’s a quick shot of the display case with his favorite loose pieces. The Camel lighter he carried in Korea. The case is about a foot deep and filled with boxes full of commemorative Case knives.
Nice to see this thread. I've collected slipjoint knives with my pop since I was a boy. I'm mostly into modern slipjoints nowadays and sold off a large portion of my collection a while back. Here are the ones I kept which either have sentimental value or are somewhere in my carry rotation.
I remember getting my first knife. A boy scout knife I got around 1971 at the Scout store in North Hills Mall in Raleigh. I was bleeding like a stuck pin within 30 minutes.
I haven’t seen it in 40 years, mom just pulled it out of a box & I’m off down memory lane.
