I know, I know, but it was $75 shipped, and I wanted a better trigger for a beater rifle.

Anyway, went to charge the rifle, but hand slipped, I ended up pulling the bolt only slightly out of battery. Suddenly the trigger is dead, bolt handle can't be pulled back. I pop the upper off and the RA hammer is stuck forward, it never reset. Can't reset it By hand, ended up tapping it with a rubber mallet and it popped free and I was able to reset it.
I can recreate this malfunction every time by simply pulling the charging handle back only about an inch. Or, by pushing the hammer forward by hand. Can't generate this result on two other triggers.

If you're thinking about buying one of these, don't.

Which RA trigger? I cant duplicate that as described on my 434

May have to. It's become easier to reset it, but you're still able to create the same malfunction either by pushing the hammer forward when in the fired position, or by short stroking the charging handle.

Do you have the lock screws tight against the reciever? You may wanna back off of them a little and try it again

I didn't crank them down, just snug with some removable Loctite.

I have a message in to RA to see if they can offer some advice or replace it.

RA got back to me and offered to replace it with the same model.
The more I used it the less it got stuck. I ended up selling the rifle with both the RA and original trigger.

I have the 434 in another rifle and it's been great.
