Someone got his "2 Tickets"

Family lawyer died two years after diagnosis, he never smoked but did enjoy his scotch.

RIP- sad to hear.
We saw him open for 38 Special in Ral at Dorton Arena (the worst acoustic facility ever) in the 80’s, we were fans and were looking forward to the show.
All I remember was him wearing a pink angora sweater, gripping the bottom of it, twisting to and fro while lifting it over his nipples like a stripper.
I went for drinks and waited for 38 to start.
It ruined his tunes for us.

I saw him at the Longbranch in 93 or 94.
He gave it all he had that night, great show.

He's got some decent stuff that didn't get a lot of radio time. I learned recently that he was a third generation NY city police officer.

We grew up around there, it was common to find my wife and I at Taco Bell or the Ham ‘N Egger at 2am.

Ham N Egger. What a great name!

The Longbranch in Raleigh.

Yup, The Ditch (Switch) and a pool hall with great tables were all next to each other.
When Longbranch & the Dutch closes, Ham ‘N Egger & Tacobell were packed with the eh drunks. Highly entertaining & we felt bad for the poor souls that had to deal with that crowd.
We lived a couple miles up the road and went to Sanderson High.
I tried to find a pic https://www.itbinsider.com/development-beat-former-oak-city-diner-spot-developed/

The Switch! Miss that, the Brewery, and the Lake Boone CC.

I cannot place the Ham N Egger.
Was it on Wake Forest rd near the car lots and around the corner from the Longbranch?

In Jr. High we skated at Sports world, the Honda shop was behind it and there was a great place to ride dirt bikes, it was known as the Honda Plateau. I sold Dodge/Mazda/Buick’s at Al Smith in ‘88 next door as well.
Damn I’m old...

Heard about it during class today (my buddy in the room next to me started playing it as the kids were working), bummed
I saw him about 10 years or so ago at the HP furniture market with two friends, was a good show, he was a good performer and I liked a lot of his songs

Shakin' was a great video...…. he played a free show in Greensboro a few years back and hadn't lost a step...….But he helped make one of the best Geico commercials of all time..... it's a tie between Eddie Money and Little Richard.

Oh, and for the record, fav - I wanna go back
