One Small Step for Mankind, One Giant Leap For Butter...............

Now, Lets hope you have a desire to put proper Ammo to it, if indeed 300 BLK, and not some silly notion about Sub Sonic .308 caliber................If indeed going subsonic, might as well stay with your 9mm......... In fact, you would be better off Terminal Ballistics speaking. Even better with 45 ACP..............

But if you indeed intend to Increase your Terminal Effectiveness with proper bullets and loads, I can assist you in that endeavor.........

300 BUTTER?
Well, P. O. Ackley already had the Eargesplitten Loudenboomer so you can't use that. Since @Michael458 is getting involved, maybe the 300 McButter.
Now this has gotten me to thinking, what if @Michael458 and P. O. Ackley had been able to share a lab together? I guess that it's a good thing that never happened.:)

Hard to load 9mm in a standard STANAG mag, change the 5.56 upper out for a .300, keep the same BCG, and keep the lower you have a $200 trigger installed into.

Oh and last round bolt hold open is easy with a .300blk. And 220gr are easier as well.

If he had compared it to .45 we wouldn't be having this convo. But there's no pointy bullets for 45 or 9mm that fly that well at 100yds.

And just as soon as that nice shiny pointy bullets hits any sort of medium it will be unstable and start to tumble. Unless a .308 caliber bullet has been designed specifically for subsonic, they do not work at sub sonic velocities.

I will opt for something that is terminally stable and complete the mission asked of it.

And I can't see anything I need to shoot at a 100 yards anyway! LOL..........

Dude, no way you can not name these “Professor Chaos” or Professor .300.
