Went out with some buddies that do this as a serious hobby, with thermal and really nice gadgets. They have killed over 100 coyotes this year and compete regularly. So I put together a Grendel in the AR platform, sourced an ATN X-sight, illuminator, and got after it last night. It was really bright, and they said that was horrible weather to try to kill coyotes in. This nice male came in on me at 125 yards, and he really didn't have a chance when he stopped. Straight on shot, right in the chest, rolled him backwards... 36 lbs. My buddy said probably a 2yr old.

I was lent a Pulsar Axion to scan with. That is the game changer. Soon as I saw him, dropped the thermal (on lanyard), got on the rifle, saw eyes and squeezed it off in his chest. Done.

Lots of fun.

Yes, I think it was a foxpro. It looked like a big bullhorn. I have an Alpha Dogg that I am getting back from a buddy. My other buddy Steve uses mouth calls by Dead End. Hes pretty spot on with them. He like to aggravate My German Shepherd with it. I told him Maximus is gonna kill him in the drive way one day, and its gonna be on him.

I saw one today down in my lower pasture. He was gone in a second! Too many houses close by and the woods have thinned out over the years. As much as I’d love too, I cant shoot them here.

LOL. When I typed it I was thinking about that old joke, "how can you shoot women and children?" "Easy, you just don't lead them as much..."
And the actor who said it was given that part in 'compensation' for having a mch bigger part taken from him ... by R. Lee Ermey.

Wow, you guys are not kidding around. That’s a high-tech arrangement.
Own the Night!!!
