I have been using one for yearsI picked up a Thermapen Mk4's during their Black Friday sale, good stuff.
What makes it worth twice the price of a Thermopro?

The only difference between the two I can see is the one in the OP allows multiple hand units to be paired to the same base.
Is that worth the extra scratch? Up to the individual, but thats not a feature I, personally, would need.
When I click that, it shows $99. Was this a promo of some sort that's expired, by chance?
Makes sense. ThanksYes I can’t remember how long it was for.

IMHO quality and accuracy is the difference. ThermoWorks last they are accurate and consistently test out better than other thermometers from multiple testing sources. If you look at the reviews on Amazon for the one above you will see all the negative reviews are because it died on them or it is inaccurate. Most people never test or calibrate these things. Cheap ones are no better than the cheap built in thermometers that come on your avg grill. For somethings that does not matter for others it is the difference between good food and crappy food.
