I blew it up and built it back with decent low cost upgrades

18" Faxon gunner rifle gas NATO 1/8 5.56 barrel (thanks to Faxon customer service)
VG6 Epsilon
CobraTac 15" lightweight MLOK rail
Toolcraft Nitride BCG
Radian Raptor LT ambi charging handle (love these)
Aero Gen2 upper and lower receivers
Rise RA150 straight 3.5lb trigger
Magpul MOE+ grip and enhanced AL TG
Aero enhanced buffer kit
MFT minimalist stock
ADM Recom 30mm QD mount
Leupold American Marksman 3-9x40

Rifle weighs 8.1lbs with a full Pmag and stacks rounds at 100yds. Should be my deer rifle going forward but by far my favorite AR

Looks good! I'd swear that in your last pic looks like you have an orange airsoft tip on your rifle!

Was this the rifle that the .300BO round was fired through?

I thought the same, had to zoom in to see it’s just the plastic barrel tip protector from shipping.

Nice job on the rebuild!

It was the protection from the Faxon factory. I didn't have the muzzle device on it yet so I left it on all thru construction to protect the 'target crown' lol. It's more of a red than orange IRL.

Yep but honestly there wasn't much left of the upper except the rail, gas block, gas tube, optic and mount. I used the old lower on a cheaper build and replaced both recievers with Aero stuff.

Basically it's an entirely new rifle with some re-used parts. I went back to the MFT stock and like it alot.
My favorite part is the balance: it just handles great and weighs 7lbs empty which for a full size rifle is a pretty awesome feat without resorted to skeletonized stuff.
You can grip it at the magwell and carry it around all day long even without a sling. So yeah, I'm happy and didn't spend alot on the rebuild considering I reused the old lower.
