Ok so I'm an owb guy (right-hand/4 o'clock) and I think maybe this shirt might be good. It's the look I like...casual but not frumpy.

I go to their site, the shirts are nice, but right away I can see where the sides of the shirt-tail are cut so high that it would probably display your gun rather than cover it.
And the ones that I like are $100.
100 dollars!
Dadgum. That's like 7 boxes of 9mm or 8 rounds of 41 magnum.
I'm not above spending for nice things when it's called for but I'm struggling with a $100 price tag for a groovy shirt.
This time of year I wear nice flannels, and most often with the sleeves rolled up. But untucked they don't look so good.

Any of ya'll have other options? What do you do?
(No sorry. I'm not doing the Hawaiian print.)

If you shot more expensive ammo, the shirts would seem cheaper. ;)
lol. I quickly found out why 41 mag is such a popular caliber to reload.
I only have two 9mm's. One's a PPQ and I shoot that one often, but handguns mostly 22/38spl/40/45.
Most often carry a G23, but wanna start carrying my new PPQ45 too. Neither of them guns are real tiny...need some shirt right there.

The only reason shirts have tails is to keep them tucked in, so just ditch them on the shirts you like. Cut the long tails off of your shirts and put a hem on them at the length you want.
I might have to do something like that. Shirts have never fit me well. Take a large in the shoulders and medium in the waist.

I just wear what is comfortable and don’t care about how they look. At my age, and being married as long as I have, I don’t worry about impressing anyone else any longer.
But I do buy the tall version of the shirts for the extra coverage.

I bought a few decent shirts designed to be worn untucked at the clearance rack at Belk’s for about $20 each. Clearance racks are my friend. I search them everywhere. Grabbed some $4-$7 shirts when Gander closed.

here ya go...

I have some of the fishing type shirts that seem to work well. But as tall as I am, they don't seem that long.

Just check places like the Gap or something, a lot of their button ups are made to be worn untucked and much lower priced than 100 bucks

If I’m not wearing a t-shirt, it’s usually a Magellan fishing shirt from Academy. I have long sleeve and short sleeve. What I really like about them is the tail is straight all the way around, meant to be untucked. When it’s cold, I add a fleece vest.

I started carrying my gun in my front pants pocket. Now I don’t have to worry about holsters, tucked, untucked, belts, or spending $99 on a shirt.

My biggest worry is wondering when I sit down if someone looks at me, they think that’s my gun in my pocket, or my boner.

Micro guns and Micro penis is about the same size.

Don't know I could make that work with a PPQ45.
But no, pocket carry is what I do at work when I tuck the shirt. When I'm allowed to wander about in general population I always owb.

Worked with a guy for a while who was an architect. He was doing the un tuck it thing like 15 years ago. He was built like an ironing board so he could pull it off. Me, not so much. I dont know where he got those shirts or if they were tailored. Like I said, architect. Most I know tend to be very creative and flamboyant.

I know a guy (retired LE) who wears a vest but not like that queer crap above. He seems to have a bunch of them of different colors and weights and they look half-way decent. Works for him. I just wear Carhart long or short-sleeve t's in the summer and look like a bum. I like sweaters so in the winter I wear plain colored pullover sweaters. My wife says I'm a damn bum anyway so who cares.

LOL, my wardrobe didn't change a bit when I started to carry. Whenever possible I always dressed very casually. Must be from having to have worn a suit for so many years.

I've found that the better quality shirts are best. They are cut a bit longer than the same size at most discount chains. Count the buttons. The cheapies also don't give the extra button that keeps the shirt from opening at the bottom. Of course YMMV but I use Kohls as a go to store.

Take a deep breath, and brave the downtown Asheville crazy long enough to check the clearance rack at Mast General Store. They carry several brands that are designed to be worn untucked. Even not on clearance, they are way cheaper than the Untuckit stuff.

I like it. Stylish, yet discreet; no-one would ever know you carry.

And there's literally no chance that a woman would hug you and accidentally feel your EDC.
Or anything else! Jus sayin...

If you’re going to spend a 100 bucks, look at the Exoffio shirts. They start about $75 and go up but they last for years, and the are longer tails and wide enough to draw from. Expensive yes, but you do get what you pay for.

I also wear sweaters in the winter. I’ve got a couple Brownings and 4-5 Under Armour 1/4 zips that I wear a polo or black T-shirt under and they look nice and cover my EDC.

That's a good idea. I hadn't thought about Mast. There's one in Hendersonville nearby and they do have some nice stuff.

Recieved some Untuckit shirts a year or so ago. If you have muscular arms, shoulders, or chest then skip these. They are made for ectomorphs. Plus they're way overpriced.
And their return policy was crap, if I remember correctly.
Also, they expose your gun if you hold your arms up...like reaching for something high.

When ever I go out at night, I always have my shirt untucked. I really do not care what people think about the way I look. Any shirt that does not have an up-cut on the sides are made to worn untucked.

If ya make it to our big city, I’ll buy you a cuppa joe.

My wife found me shirts from Paper, Denim, and Cloth that were on the rack at Marshall's for like $25 a piece. They work really well and are made to be untucked. I have both short sleeve and long sleeve.

I wouldn't buy them for the price they want to sell them for, but I'd buy more at the price she found them

Threads like this make me thankful that I put my wife in charge of purchasing my clothes long ago.

As it is, I carry OWB 50% of the time, and my Wrangler shirts cover my carry piece (a 1911 variant) just fine. I know you're proud of your butt and all, but just buy some longer shirts. :p
