I admit it I do. These things are great.
I mean seriously..
Ruger, S&W, Glock, H&K, Sig, XD, Walther,...these type of handguns are phenomenal. I find myself shooting these kind of handguns more than any other type of firearm.

I love the walnut and steel thing too. A special fondness for K Frames. You'll never see that old pretty blue again.

But I take a shine to a lot of these plastic guns that are out now.
imo..a great time to be a gun guy.

I like them because I can see and use them as the tools they are. I can use the polymers handguns and rifles with Tupperware stocks without worrying about scratches or rubbing off the bluing etc. I love the older firearms with beautiful wood and deep bluing; I can't bring myself to use them as a tool.

It was hard for me to come to them. I'm old and I like what I like. I found out what they needed for me, did it and now I carry them daily. Yesterday I got a Ruger LCP in .22. I just checked and there is only 1 on all of GB right now at $319+. I got mine for $280 OTD yesterday at MB Gunshow. Folks, if this thing doesn't put a smile on your face, I'm thinking you have lost all the Fun in shooting. Ima get one for RS but this one is Mine!

I am with you. While I do love the craftsmanship if a full size 1911, when it comes to carrying I will take a polymer gun any day of the week.

She said you could say that didn't she????

All are just simple tools in the tool box, they each serve a purpose. To me, plastic guns are just tools, no different than a hammer or screwdriver. They are not fine objects with great character. Just hammers. Good things of course, and the last few years these things have replaced my finer things while riding around in the truck, or boat. Should something happen to them, lost, stolen, what have you, no different than loosing a good hammer, go get another one to replace it.

Every one I've held had something to teach me no matter what it was made from. I can't say that about hammers and screwdrivers.

Polymers are great, but it's a tiny bit sad that hardly anything new has any class nowadays.

Yup...the tools fit the generation

I've used a 1911 to beat a driven clutch back onto a shaft in the Backcountry.

I believe I would find a rock or something before I started beating things with some of my 1911s...........

My Point Exactly.......... Class and Character..................

Six plus feet of snow.

Mine was never that pretty, only casualty was the mainspring housing and that was only aesthetic.
