Colt competition series 9mm. New grips, magwell, and got rid of the stock plastic mainspring housing. There something about the way a full size steel frame 9mm shoots.

Did a little horse trading this afternoon at my usual local gun shop hangout, traded an Aimpoint Comp M4 for a Rock Island 10mm 1911 and two spare magazines

Cleaned my E series after giving it a good workout with my son today. Even shot the wizard with it. It REALLY likes plain old 230gr RN running mid-800s fps.

And, look what was waiting for me at my LGS hangout this afternoon........
She is TIGHT, and with nearly the best factory trigger I've ever had out of the box..........
Now I'm waiting on two more mags, and ammo.....

That's what "He" designed it for!! It will probably never let you down as long as you feed it that wonderful stuff.

This gun’s a lot like me...

big, heavy, old, rode hard, but still somewhat functional.

Loading up for yard work today,I realize these 2 old dogs cover a lot of ground with me.

Put the 90 degree break flat trigger on the M17, dry firing it feels pretty good.

The two Ultras are Mammoth Ivory. The two 4 inch guns are Buckeye Burl. The upper left 5 inch gun is giraffe bone from one of my giraffe many years ago..... I have not completely decided how to dress the two 5 inch guns yet.

I was on a Kimber mission towards the end of last year. These two 5 inch guns were the end of the mission, and by the time I got to those, I had become bored with the mission......... These are still NIB, well, I tossed the boxes, but still New, unfired. Just have not got around to it yet. And, still have not decided what to dress them in as far as grips......... They might have sported the giraffe bone, but the folks that cut the bone for me (yes it was one of my personal giraffe bones I had from one I had shot) cut the grips just ever so slightly thicker than I had wanted them to be. They just feel a little too thick. I put a set on one gun and just have not tried some other things I have yet...... Maybe I look at these today.............
