Walmart Online Grocery Ordering

So Ive been using this ALMOST every week since this thread began early December. I really enjoy it.
There was one week when their system (nationwide) shut down and I ended up doing my stuff because they were five hours behind.

They'll sub items for the name brand or a larger version (ie: today I ordered a 24oz hidden valley ranch, they subbed with a 36oz for the 24oz price etc)

My only 'complaint' is you have to know when to pick your stuff up. By noon on a Sunday - good. 2 or 3pm on a Sunday - bad. They just get too swamped. But several times Ive pulled up, "checked in," and within a minute they're putting groceries in my car.

BUT, the reason I really wanted to update this thread is their ordering system online vs in store - it's connected. Good or bad, it's connected. So if I go in and buy something (ie: the other day I bought some OdoBan in store, never ordered online before), it'll then show up in my 'favorites' on the site.
It's neat, it could be handy.

This is interesting as many people I have talked to this week mentioned, in some way or another, that they are using Walmart, Food Lion or other Grocery pick up.

Yesterday, I was home thinking about grocery shopping needs and my co-worker had made a comment about the milk, egg and bread shortage from the big snowstorm we got this week. She said, "Just order it on Amazon Prime and it can show up at your door".

Hmmm.. so I went onto Amazon and starting making a grocery list of everything that we buy weekly. Called the wife and asked if she wanted to try it and she said, Why Not....

I placed the order at 2pm... could have had it delivered at 7pm same day....

I chose 7am to 9am this morning... and at 8:55 10 brown bags magically appeared outside my front door.

The best part is that I am sure that we were at least $30 dollars cheaper than with our normal purchases.... not bad at all....

I was used to spending 40-50 a week on groceries, now Im usually JUST over 30. Today was 40.
So Im typically saving 10-20 a week and it's because Im not browsing things and impulse shopping.
Im still getting treats here and there (a bag of chips, carton of ice cream etc), but Im not buying random things to try

So that's where all their cashiers went. They're busy scrutinizing HMP's bananas. :D
If anyone remembers back in the 90's Wallyworld had a run when they tried to promote "Made in USA!". Well, today, you do well to find ANYTHING that's made in USA in there. INCLUDING their cashiers! If you can find one of those! I'm still waiting on my W-2 for scanning and bagging my own groceries!

Actually youd be surprised how much they DO have. No, it's not half the store, but there is a lot.
For example, they have some sport water bottles made in USA and they're quite inexpensive. I got two for my bike, broke one when I dropped it full of water and landed on the cap funny, but would buy again.
Also, speaking of bottles, have some inexpensive spray bottles MIA too

Tried amazon’s whole food same day delivery today. Was very impressed with the meat and vegetables. ‘only down side was WholeFood prices. Gonna go stick with Walmart/food lion pick up.
