Hello Everyone
I've been living here in Lake Wylie SC for 5 years now. I moved here from Long Island NY.. aka NY'istan , The Nanny State.. etc etc
In 2013, Andy Cuomo aka FUAC , passed the NYSAFE ACT banning so called "assault rifles" "high capacity" magazines and instituted a registration system.
I marched , I protested, I held signs, I called my politicians.. what I learned is, once you cast your vote it's too late! Vote for your freedom and nothing else .. EVER!!! If you are free anything is possible, once it's gone there is no turning back!!!
I gave myself 2 years to get out. I was 46 at the time . In 2 years and 2 months I was a proud resident of SC!!
I retired early and moved my family here. I chose SC for many reasons but the main thing was that SC is one of the last bastions of freedom left.
I dont plan to move again .. at least not to find freedom . The next time I wont carry signs , I wont beg my politicians for my freedom .. the next time i will stand and fight .. to the death if necessary!
I spent all of my life in NY with the exception of my military service as a Combat Controller in the USAF . I despise everything about NY , the north east and their liberal , democrat policies.
I love South Carolina ! I love your pride , your heritage, and your way of life !!
I may sound like a guy on a street corner in Brooklyn but dont let that fool you, I hunt, I Fish, I shoot and I camp , if its outdoors I do it! I even built a gold dredge since I've been here.. who wants to go gold mining with me ? Lol
I've been reading the forum and there is so much info on here ! Hopefully I can contribute some in return.

Welcome to the forum, @Urban Tarzan . I cleaned up your thread a little, we don't use that kind of language in the open areas of the forum. Read some of the rules and settle in, you'll be fine. We're happy to have you with us.

Sorry about that ... those are the two I use to refer to that place the most so I'll have to be careful .

No warnings, no worries. You'll settle in and be just fine. After you're hear a while and get familiar with everyone and the forum you'll find that there are places where you can "be yourself". You have joined a forum with a great group of people.

Welcome! It's a bummer what's happened to NY. I know a lot of older guys up there who told me that the change happened in a single generation. Felt overnight and was a major change compared to when they grew up.

Literally over night!! I belonged to a forum/community like this up there . Within a month it was a ghost town. We had meets every week , group buys , had tactical matches , carbine, pistol.. all of it ! Gone Done Over!! No more !
A big part of that is the amount of guys who didnt register, didnt modify, get rid of etc . But they slink off into the shadows
My buddies up there probably haven't shot in 5 years .. and these were the top end gung ho guys.. sad
