This is kinda creepy...

I keep waiting to get pulled in Aynor, so far so good. Dam sure better than going through Conway, no offense to anyone that
lives there (BOB).

No offense taken......I seldom go to "the Village". They once had a Police Chief in Conway who tried to have CWPs not recognized in the city limits......yep...for real!!!

@Geezer and I saw an Aynor speed trappin SOB off in the ditch yesterday where he hydroplaned off:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
This guy must have been in hot pursuit because the blue lights were still on. He turned them off right before we got even with him. Hydroplaned and was about 15 feet off the road, mired up, and pointing the wrong way.

Ive had to do two runs out today, once to get some paperwork signed and then to the drs office for my son. There was a decent amount of traffic, and the Food Lion seemed to have the normal amount of people. But everything "felt" different. Cant really explain it. As expected, an entire row of paper goods completely void...but the canned food and the dried foods were drying up as well. Got the last two bags of pintos and case of beef ramen. (plenty of shrimp, because ewww…)

My son started complaining last night that he was feeling bad, and we were worried it was a case of strep he had a while back coming back. So we had him checked, negative strep and "regular" flu, but are testing him for the big C now, we will know by Friday hopefully.

Bragg traffic is way down...normally a solid 15 minute (or longer) wait at Randolph gate when I come in...this morning pulled right up into the checkpoint to scan my ID...they are dispersing the workforce, but of course I am not one of those

Anyone here at or near Lejeune, Cheery P, or Seymour J?

Have they also limited uniform military and civilians on post to travelling no more than 50 miles from the installation like they have here at Bragg? Wondering if that is uniform or Bragg specific because we are the center of the Army universe...

I'm honestly surprised at the amount of traffic I've dealt with over the past few days. My commute from Gaston County to Charlotte and back is a little easier than usual, but nothing drastic. Maybe equal to what I would see on a .gov holiday, like President's Day.

The traffic going by my house yesterday evening was more than I expected.

Say... you jokers that are driving around , seeing any popo, sheriff or Troopers?

nope. we were on the road for about 3 hours today checking out property and houses. didn't notice single LE vehicle.

I hope the young man is OK. Good call on the pinto beans, with a lot of fiber you won't need as much toilet paper.

This is something that the wife and I take almost daily during winter months or cold and flu season, Emergen C. We are convinced without a doubt that this stuff works. If I even feel like something may be coming on, I take one and keep taking them daily. So far, so good. I've been taking them for 3-4 years now. I buy them in bulk from Amazon and keep a supply on hand but, it looks like everyone is out now.

The SECDEF issued a stop movement order to the entire military. All non-essential travel is not allowed to include those who were PCSing. Only local leave is allowed, so whatever your command deems that to be is how far from base your are allowed to travel. I believe here, up at Walter Reed the soldiers have to stay within 100mi from base and Sailors have to stay within 150.

Thanks...yes, I got all that...was wondering if the 50mi range was standardized or local policy, and from your reply it is Bragg only policy.

I'm scheduled to work on LeJeune Friday.. I'm a civilian working for a civilian contractor.
Spoke with the Navy earlier about getting our inspection. No mention of base being sealed up.

Like the no traffic but it is erie. We were talking on a call for work yesterday this is going to test the internet resources for sure with all the bandwidth usage from businesses having employees work from home and the others surfing and watching tv out of work.
My cousin works for a telecom in NV and has been deemed essential business/personnel.
My wife was trying to skype with some people in NV and spectrum seems to be having a very hard time keeping up with the increase in NC net traffic.

My Work is worried about the VPN service now... they thought it'd be for general usage when you just needed to log in from out there temporary it get access to the Big network.
Not for Fulltime everybody log in and WFH for however long...
Those Gear rooms are not N+1 or 2 for backup on cooling and Elec. like the Big Data Centers. .. any little blip from Duke and NOBODY is working..

If any of you guys are serious about "bugging out" the next couple of days may be your last chance.

Everything is getting ready to be on full lockdown. If you have someplace else that you would rather ride the storm out at, you better be getting there while you still can. JMO. If I'm wrong, you can always come back home. If I'm right, you're gonna be stuck wherever you are for a while.

Naw.. There are to many people not prepared to be stuck at home. Hell, even the Ca governor has run out of toilet paper.
Not many will stay put...

Downtown Raleigh was like a ghost town yesterday at 4PM on my way to the office.
Louisburg last couple days has looked pretty normal, except for the Mayflower parking lot being empty.
Say... you jokers that are driving around , seeing any popo, sheriff or Troopers?
Lots, more than usual. Apparently looking for speeders.

I figure NC will be sheltering in place by the weekend. Maybe even the entire country.

My company has sent all the people home to work except our building, which is manufacturing, and we were all deemed essential and must report to work every day. We mold roll out trash cans and plastic bins, which must really be important to keep the country running. Now they are having all kinds of VPN issues, lol.

If real Martial Law is enacted, there will be non-Covid19 related deaths.
Who they going to put in jail? They don’t have cells for new guest. They shut the courts down for 30 days. Nobody is checking out of their cozy comforts and room service.

New Hanover country sheriff announced (yes, announced) that the would be no arrest warrants issued...
Press release said: (not verbatim) if you are currently in custody, you stay in custody. If you are not in custody, they will make no efforts to pick you up.
WTF???

Tomorrow is my wife's last day working at her office... She will be working from home for the next 4 weeks.
This SUCKS! She's gonna find out how little I actually do during the day!

52 N and into Winston only seemed a little lighter than usual this afternoon.

See normal possibly elevated levels of Deputies on my commute. Rarely see Troopers. WSPD is operating pretty normal from my view.

I would imagine traffic citations are being discouraged.

Exactly WTF!!
You don't go announcing its going to be a free for all with theifs and criminals .. What an idiot.

I saw them out about everywhere but only because there was way less cars on the road.

If your cops are anything like the cops around here, somewhere between the 15th and 20th of every month seems to be speed enforcement time. I'll go literally 3 weeks without seeing a single cop car, then in one day on the way to work (~30min drive) i'll see 5+
With me being one of the chosen few who are still going to work... I'll watch my speed.
