Peters Creek parkway coming into Winston Salem from Davidson county. At this time a day this road should be very very busy

leaving soon to take my wife to Charlotte Gastroenterology & Hepatology for her infusion treatment. usually it is a 50 to 55 minute drive, Google map showing 35 minutes.

I commute 45+ miles each way, part of which is on 40 from 54 CH through RTP to Morrisville Parkway. Traffic is about 50% of normal when I come through around 7:30am and 4:30 pm, which is a difference of night and day.

My house is on a hill overlooking the town. Just below me is a major thru road..
it's 8am and ive seen maybe 1 car every few minutes.. Normally there are cars lined up at the stop sign waiting to the road to clear so they can turn. I've gotten immune to hearing traffic all day, but now it's quiet, and when I hear a car, I've got to look and see who it is.....

This reminds me of the days just following 9/11 when all air traffic was grounded. I lived in Alaska at the time and we were used to air traffic (airliners and small private and commercial craft) in the air 14 hours a day that time of year. Empty skies were....weird.

I buy them in bulk from Amazon and keep a supply on hand but, it looks like everyone is out now.

My supply is dwindling down and this stuff seems to be in short supply. I've been eating a lot of bran and fiber so the toilet paper supply is holding up pretty good. Walgreen's here shows it in stock but, it's much cheaper when Amazon has it in stock.

This is the 495 beltway that goes around DC at about 4:30 today. This is usually a parking lot and the worst rush hour traffic in the nation.
