Finally got to test out the new Nomad. It's all my hopes and dreams. Also learned my beard likes my stock so much sometimes it stays behind.

Been playing with this pair of Form 1s. 9mm TCM conversion with a mostly Ti D-Cell can. I'm getting first round pop and most of the rounds seem like they are supersonic. I need to break out a chrono. For now I'm tinkering with clipping (they weren't clipped at all yesterday) and just moving spacers around seeing if anything helps. FRP is there on a 9mm Glock as well but no downrange crack.

Is that the 22/9MM TCM round? Those things run at like twice the speed of sound. Even 9mm luger is hard/impossible to keep subsonic at anything over 3" of barrel length with 115 grain .

9mm conversion on a .22TCM donor. I was shooting 158gr Fiocchi Subs through it but they still had a supersonic crack. Barrel length is 8"-9", can remember right now. I'm going to dig in my ammo stash for some 147 grain stuff that I have in there. The Fiocchi stuff was really dirty. Flakes and crap were all over the cones after 5 or so rounds. I need something better, it seems.

This is one of the things nice about reloading. Can tune to your gun and application.

I posted these on here somewhere before. Can't remember if it was this thread or not. Here are two of my Form 1 .22lr rimfire cans that I made beside my old Outback II.

They started as aluminum muzzle brakes from Etsy. I turned the OD down on the brake body to fit inside some aluminum tube. Then threaded the muzzle end of the body 1/2-28 female. I made a reverse cap thingy with a male 1/2-28 portion that screws into the body.

The muzzle brake inserts into the tube and the cap tightens it all up. Clearance fit on each end and hand tight pressure on the end cap creates a tight seal.

Looking back, I should have ordered several more of the short brakes! lol. The little guy on the end of a 16" CZ455 shooting sv or subs is awesome!

I like my Octane 45HD but it would really nice with an end cap like that. Did you do that yourself?
Found a shop in Charlotte that does anodizing and has them do it. No exactly sure how it’ll hold up, as the guy said it’s only rated to ~250°F.

My two stamper 300blk hog hammer from another thread. PSA/Anderson hybrid with 8.5" stainless barrel, CMC two stage trigger, and YHM Nitro 30.

Let me introduce you to this little guy. We’ll call him The King, since he’s #43. YHM Turbo K which is going to be dedicated to the PS90 SBR. You just don’t realize how small it is...

Laying next to the 6.5” Form 1 can (recored go a tubeless design by ECCO) on the PS90:

And the Turbo K on the PS90 (using 1/2-28 direct thread):

If EveryGunPart would get another M2 kit in with a decent looking barrel, I may have one as well soon!

You should probably pick up a receiver now. It takes around a month to get one and I can't imagine they grow on trees.

@BigWaylon Do you still have the YHM mount? I'm trying to get measurements on one while mine's in jail but it's not on the manuf. website. Would you mind measuring yours if you still have it? Looking for total added length to the can and the weight of just the mount. I'm trying to decide if it's worth getting the yhm kurtz mount.

The YHM QD mount that comes with the Turbo K?

If so, here’s what I got for weight:

And here’s an estimate of the distance from where it would contact the tube to the end:

If that wasn’t what you wanted, let me know.
