Since many of you probably have nothing better to do ...

Last week I had allergy issues, runny nose, cough etc., no fever.

Monday this week I stayed home because I felt very unwell. I could barely stand up in the shower because I was extremely nauseous. Tuesday I fought thru it but got so wobbly at work that they sent me home.

Since then I have tried every morning to get ready but the shower now terrifies me. I can only move very slowly and the nausea is terrible. Today I barely made it out but had to lay down for a while.

There are also body aches, the big D, tiredness, short breath.

Anybody ever had this?

Diarrhea, I fought that was a common term.

(where is the general general category in off topic, by the way?"

If you are having trouble breathing, go get it checked out.

Don't f*ck around.

Really hope this is a goofy joke and you didn’t actually go to work.

Not since Tuesday when they sent me home. I talked with the doctor today and she thinks I probably have the normal flu. Based on the body aches and all of that. I do feel like I got run over by a car.

I read one time that the flu makes you feel like you were were thrown off a bucking horse and you were trampled by that horse.

I know it sucks to be sick. Stay at home. Take care of yourself.

Lastly. Don't spread that shit around to other people. Your neighbors and coworkers will thank you for not giving it to them.

I did and I do have an app with a cardiologist. I have acid reflux and I was very gassy on the day I had some chest discomfort and shortness of breath. It got better whenever I released gas (one way or another) so we all agreed that it's probably just that but the medicos talked me into getting a cardio app just to be sure.

I too got the big D, but none of those other things you mention.

You were ill with flu like symptoms and went to work. During the most hyped and possibly dangerous pandemic ever.

I got nothing. :(

And my wife asks why I drink.

Wanta get rid of the acid reflux and excess gas. Give up dairy all products. It worked for me.

At first I held off commenting because I thought this was some sort of joke and was waiting for the punch line, but it seems like you’re actually serious.....

people want to bitch and complain about the government stepping in and ordering everyone to stay home. Well you know why that has become necessary? It’s because of people like you.........

I’m with @CZfool68 I got nothing..........just wow dude...

I have Reflux as well and take medication every day for it, but DON'T fool around with any chest discomfort. I spent a whole day working with the worst case of indigestion I've ever had. Too more of my normal meds as well as many Tums and Rolaids. Finally went to the ER planning on getting a GI Cocktail which will cure any indigestion known to man. Found out I was having a heart attack! When it comes to chest pain it is better to be safe than sorry.

Easy now, I did not know what it was initially, the symptoms gradually changed/worsened and neither doctor I saw Monday and Wednesday stated the flu right away. The flu diagnosis came later and I did stay put after that. I would not have gone in knowing it was probably the flu.

My company also normally has a culture of appreciating people coming in no matter what as silly as that is.

This is why the government must tell people the same thing 20 times a day. And then threaten them with fines and jail time.

but hey .... they needed me.

Cutting out wheat-based products worked for me. I suppose the root issue is different for everyone, but it doesn't seem to be the so-called "trigger foods" they say (coffee, alcohol, peppers, high-acid foods, etc), they just bring it out when it's already there.

Thanks for the hints about certain foods, but I never drink any milk and use little other dairy products and have literally eaten stuff that should trigger reflux without having any issues and eaten very mild foods and gotten it real bad. Go figure.

No need to beat me up anymore, in hindsight I should have stayed put when I went in feeling off last week.

For what it is worth I had to go to the ER last Tuesday, the last week or so whenever I was taking a shower I would get very lightheaded and weak. On Tuesday I got very bad and after talking with my doc (who was still thinking heart issues) I took his advice and had my wife drive me to the ER.

EKG and bloodwork came all back just fine, they did a flu test which came back negative. To my surprise they did run the test for the Covid 19. I had always read that nobody without a bad case or fever would get a test but I guess they have some discretion on the subject. So I was asked to stay at home until the results come back or 14 days since first symptoms have finished. That will be next Monday.

It is possible that the combination of my whatever bug with the enormous stress I had lately (got demoted at work, new younger boss, mother in law is dying plus pandemic) just did a real number on me.

Not sure of your age, but with those symptoms and no fever I wouldn't think the flu or corona. I'd be thinking blocked artery.

52 and that should show up in all the tests they did I would think.

When I was 54 I had the same symptoms and they ran tests like that on me. They wound up having me do a nuclear stress test and I then had a cardiac catheterization. They found an 80% blockage with the stress test. I was lucky my Doctor kept at it and found what was really wrong.

Well I do have a follow up app with cardiology so if it's that hopefully they can find it.
