Post-41F NFA Stamp Tracking thread

My Form 4 check arrived in Portland on Monday, and it cleared the bank yesterday (Thursday). Maybe that's a good sign.
Not sure it’s a good (or bad) sign. That’s the typical timeframe I’ve had on 40+ submissions.

When the check is cashed, the ATF doesn’t even know you’ve submitted a form...so they can’t screw it up at that point. :D

The quick approval process has been scrapped due to the calls of those who submitted Pre-July and have been waiting in excess of 8 months for approvals. It seemed that the July or later approvals that were turned around after two months were too good to last. Wish others would have just bought more stuff in hopes of quicker approvals instead of bitching about a wait.

If you're not OK with waiting in excess of a year, NFA isn't for you.
Says the guy bitching about the fast turn around time stuff being gone...

(This is me joking and just giving you a hard time)

I had a May submission and was hoping it would be a quick turn one. Nope. Oh well.

I'm bitching because some fudds ruined it for others. I have a pre-July stamp waiting, but doesn't bother me a bit. Buying two more NFA items this month.

.........i should be close on my Wolf 9SD. I paid for it in late January.......so Im gettin' antsy..

Just over a year on my Wolf 9SD..... I called and it's "being processed"...…….

Seen a bunch of chatter about form 4 trusts getting approved from October and onward mixed in with earlier submissions. Wonder if it is a variant of their fast track scheme from last year

3 weeks on an individual. Rolled the prints myself. This is my first individual Form 1 in 30 years of NFA stuff. Got two more in the pipeline.

Was that the bargain buy from PSA?

This makes me happy. One of my SiCo freebies was cashed 7/19 and the other is 8/14.
Don’t get too excited. I’m still seeing Feb and Mar approvals get reported. And I’m still waiting on May.

I didn't keep track of each step, but I ordered & paid for my Dead Air Sandman-K on 5/23/19 & my Form-4 was approved yesterday, so 9 months start to finish.

I checked the ARF tracking thread, and the most recent F4 approvals are from Feb, Apr, May & June.

So glad they have the FIFO process down.

The reddit thread I follow is all over the place. Looks like they are pulling from March and April while at the same time hitting Nov and December .

So basically not even they seem to know what is going on with them

Long time no talk...

Whatcha gettin’?

Submitted via Silencer Shop
Form 4 Trust-1 responsible person on trust
Check Cashed: 17May2019
Approved: 18Mar2020
Stamp Arrived: TBD

I have no idea why the stamp has not arrived at my dealer yet. (17 calendar days at time of post)

I had a twenty day delay between approval and receipt with my last stamp in Oct. According to NFA Tracker the average time is 12 days....:(

After 30 days, you can request a certified copy. They actually request you wait 35...30 for them to mail it and 5 more for “in transit” time. Which is utterly ridiculous.

Yep. I already had that conversation with Silencer Shop.

I don't know if the delay is on BATF, USPS, or my SOT dealer.
My shooting buddy uses a different SOT and of his ten Form 4's over the past 5 years, his longest delay between approval to stamp arrival was: 12 days.
My next Form 4 will be going through a different SOT just to test a theory I have. o_O

It’s often the ATF. I’ve seen plenty of postmarks in the “20-30 day after approval date” range.

Then you do have some dealers that just have a poor handling routine of checking mail and notifying customers.

IMHO the delay is rarely the fault of the USPS. They generally get the blame when it never shows up at all. :D

YHM Turbo K:
Bought: 5.9.19
Mailed: 5.22.19
CC charged: 5.28.19
Pending: 5.29.19
Approved: 3.26.20
Received: TBD 4.18.20

Seems weird...now I don’t have anything pending at the moment. :(
