Fuel prices

I paid 1.99 for regular yesterday, but I was right off I40 below Benson and I guess they like to catch that interstate traffic

Apparently, some in the oil trading biz believe it could go significantly below $10 a barrel. That would be more than 50% below the current price and 80 or 90% below that of a few months ago. Russia and Saudi Arabia are battling it out and trying to take down the US shale industry in the process. If all parties continue pumping, while the virus keeps vehicles off the road, they’ll soon try to give away gas.

Pres. Trump is working with the Saudis to stop them pumping extra oil in the pissing contest with Russia, we shall see if he is successful.

$1.35 at Valero in Tarboro. Cheapest I have seen it around here. Wish I had a large tank to store some in.

It will go much lower with no one driving anywhere. Supply and demand. Just like the ammo prices that a certain few are screaming "gouging" over. If you got gas cans, fill em up and stabil them.

But non-ethanol hasn’t dropped that much ... yesterday I filled up my kid’s truck and 2 cans we use in the mower and such at $2.49 per gallon.

Wow I did not realize how low gas prices went. I rarely take note of gas prices. Ain’t going out of my way to save 10 cents a gallon but that is LOW. Probably dollar cheaper than I was paying month or two ago?

never realized this was also a beneficial element of our recent N.C. travels (staying IN car looking at property of interest)

Bought it for $1.79 today, but got a 19¢/gal rebate from GasBuddy. I think the lowest that showed up near me was $1.60, but I didn’t go chasing it...just stopped at the one I was passing that had a good rebate.

Diesel in Wilmington was 2.69 a gallon. I fill up my truck and cans in Shallotte for 1.99 a gallon. That’s a .70 cent difference. Hard to believe.

Well Cooper and crew have to get the road going taxes so NC can maintain the roads ... in between potholes.

My dad lives in SC and often taunts my brother and I with gas prices...but just sent us this one from Sam’s Club in Greensboro:

I have a bulk tank and paid right at $2.10 last week. I’m figuring I should be close to $2.00 this week. Fuel prices plummeting has helped offset the cost of reducing and suspending of service by customers because of this Kung Flu.

This month Harris-Teeter was offering 4x fuel points on gift cards, so I bought enough Amazon gift card to bring me up to 1,000 points, worth $1.00 off every gallon. With gas now around at $1.70 per gallon, I'll be getting gas for less than a dollar for the first time in about forty years.

Got it for the mowers yesterday. It was about $2.40 / gallon. Was going to top off the car with it as it gets better mileage but the 87 was $1.60 and it doesn’t get that much better mileage.

We did start the rototiller which hadn’t been run in a few years (oops) but it always had stabilized alcohol free gas. Started right up on the first pull, no starter fluid required.

My bet is they will cut production before it gets much lower.
Trump says that they are refilling the National Oil supply that was depleted during Obama administrations.

I paid $1.46 at Sheetz in Asheboro last Tues. WakeCo stations in most places still around $1.89. I gotta get outta WakeCo.

Circle K on Market near highway patrol station had 2.07 diesel yesterday.

I had my diesel tanks filled Friday, 2850 gallons at 2.13 delivered.

Oil closed at an 18 year low today, down 6% to $20.19. Before inching up, it was well under $20.
