Company taking the stimulus money out of your pay check

Hard to tell anything from that article, lots of W's missing.

I imagine that if a company was paying your wage while you couldn't work they could reduce that by whatever they wanted for any reason.

The way I’ve read the stimulus package is that there are loans available to cover payroll. If you prove the money went to payroll and you didn’t lay anyone off then it gets converted to a grant.

I don’t think they can legally pull your tax filings to prove you are eligible for a stimulus payment.

They only know the income they paid you. If you don’t fill out their form, I can’t see that they could do anything about it beyond just fire you.

Hear-say... that article didn't do any fact checking. I believe we now call that "Fake News" and ignore it until someone confirms the anonymous report about an anonymous company.
It's probably those cheap Canadian bass turds I used to work for..

Reminds me of the Buzzfeed article my wife shared with me about Kaiser Permanente telling a lupus patient her Plaquenil prescription was canceled to help C19 victims, "Thank you for your sacrifice". One anonymous source, nothing to back it up.

At least this one had TWO anonymous sources
