Anyone else notice the lack of.......

Amen brother! My phone has been pleasantly silent again. My co worker did get one from Egypt the other day. He immediately asked if they were the only ones immune to corona virus.

The spam email it through the roof! I got 60 spam emails in 5 hours that POS CenturyLink's filter won't recognize. After 1/2 hour with their so called 'support' they said bye
This is from the last 3 days, and I have to mark each one as spam.

Huge decline in spam calls here. Also fewer spam emails coming in.
And I'm getting *more* work done because I no longer have to listen to my co-workers' bad music and pointless ass-chewings.

I got another one just a few moments ago. I hung up on them, and tried calling the number back, just to see what happened. Got an error message from Verizon saying the number did not exist, so apparently I can't even give them a piece of my mind.

There used to be a cell phone app that blocked incoming calls you didn't know, but after their users built their database by blocking individual scammers as they came through, the service suddenly started charging. If that's how they wanted to be, they should have paid me for my help first!

I got one from Duke Energy yesterday informing me it was their last attempt to contact me and they were cutting my service for nonpayment.

Too bad they called my AT&T company line to tell me that. So if you live near Central Ave in Charlotte and your phone goes out today, I’m sorry.

Not getting SPAM calls but I’ve gotten a couple SCAM calls ...both for a computer Microsoft Windows virus from a Jamaican sounding guy to which I replied we are an Apple family and hung up. Now I also have blocked a crap load of telemarking numbers over the past 6 months so they might be still trying but not getting thru.

Oh yeah I am getting a few SPAM emails on buying N95 masks ...

I had a guy from the IRS call me. He said that he could get my stimulus check in the mail if I would give him my banking info!

Well... this IS the way the government works, so you can probably trust this one.

I’m getting more than usual. Thankfully Verizon has a new service where it labels it spam on the caller ID.

I wish I could fry their computer or phone from mine.

Thankfully Verizon just shows me the number, and if I don't recognize it I ignore it.

Yeah... like the several IRS calls I got on a US government cell phone at work one night.

I finally asked "Why is Uncle Sam calling Uncle Sam and telling Uncle Sam he owes Uncle Sam money and if Uncle Sam doesn't pay, Uncle Sam is going to put Uncle Sam in one of Uncle Sam's jails?"

They quit calling.

I don't know about spam calls, but I have noticed significantly fewer cars and left lane hogs on interstate. It's almost like I've died and went to heaven.

My favorite phone spammer is the guy from the Illinois Chiefs of Police Assn. He calls every six months or so trying to solicit a donation. He has this script he reads where he asks for someone by name and when you try to be polite and tell him that person is not at this number he digs in and starts to sell. So now every time he calls and asks for Richard, I've taken to telling him "I don't know Dick" and hanging up. Makes me chuckle.

we have had fewer robotic telephone calls this month.
several "live" solicitations have been attempted.
we accepted one from a Red Cross blood drive.

I can't ignore them all. I forward my office phone. I usually answer east coast numbers, well at least up to Maryland.

The drawback to the forwarding is that I don't know which number they're calling.

Seems to me that it’s gotten a lot harder to block numbers with your phone. Where that used to be a prominent button or menu option it seems to be missing or hard to find. Doubly so for spam text messages.
