Several months ago I asked around for help selecting a drone, and you guys responded with a lot of input and advice.

So today was my first flight of the new one. DJI Mavic Mini. Thank you all for convincing me that it was worth spending the money on a better quality one. This thing is EASY to fly. Stays under control really well. 10 minutes after takeoff (after taking it over the top of my house to look for wasp nests) I was able to maneuver it onto my front porch - maybe 7x7' - and land it successfully. I also flew it 200 or so yards out onto my property, got a good look at things from above.

More practice needed, but soon I'll be able to do what I want with aerial scouting of my land.

I bought the same thing a couple mnths back. Fun to fly in the house and pestor the kiddos and yet to go outside and just relax with it

I had the Mavic Pro out Tuesday for the first time in probably 6 months. It was pretty fun flying it again. Also nice to record all around the house and roof looking for anything out of place. I found an area of my soffit that it looks like squirrels are chewing on but it looks like the area I repaired where they chewed through to get in my attic is OK. Had some fun taking pictures and video of my son shooting and dunking the basketball.
One crazy thing did happy though that I’ve never seen before. With full on Spring going on we have tons of bees, wasps etc out. When I took the drone up multiple bumble bees would start following it around. Ended up chopping several of them up.
