So as some of you may have seen I've been doing what I can to help those on the front lines fighting the Coronavirus by 3D printing the headbands that use a transparency sheet to create a faceshield. The local college got wind of the story and reached out to me. You can read the story below.

I challenge everyone to find a way to turn something negative into something positive today. Lord knows we could all use a little more positivity in this day and age.

Awesome. I've just gotten into dabbling with 3D printing and find I need a lot of time to tinker with it that I don't have. Biggest issue is a warped bed, and being a noob. ArtillerySidewinder X1.

I understand how a face shield would be beneficial to first responders due to spraying body fluids, but I don't think they would be that beneficial to others would they? I mean they don't absorb droplets from your own coughs and they don't prevent you from touching your mouth or nose.

This is primarily for healthcare workers. When going full PPE a face shield is part of the git up. Since they are limited this is simply a temporary option that is easily replaceable between patients or shift.

Once the shit is over with and if you every get to Savannah, I owe you a drink or few.

Ha! Funny you say that. Wife and I are looking a place to go assuming all is well for our 10th anniversary. Savannah was in the list. May hit you up for things to see and do.

That's what I thought. Awesome that you are able to help. I'm not at that point yet.

You are one of the reasons I still have some faith in these United States of ours. Strong work.
