mh3.jpg mh4.jpg mh5.jpg mh6.jpg mh7.jpg mh8.jpg mh9.jpg mh10.jpg This 1878 Martini-Henry serial number AC5665 saw service with the British Army as indicated by the numerous acceptace aand property marks and was later transferred to the Colonial forces in India as shown by the Ft Williams Arsenal stamp and the Nepalese markings shown below. Serial number AC5665 was manufactured at the Royal Small Arms Factory at Enfield between April 1877-March 1878 which is the production year for Enfield, one of 35,630 made in that year. The "2" on the barrel and action denote is has been passed into the second class reserve, which was set down in criterion from Enfield, and after inspection at Birmingham Bagot St. I've shot this and it's still very accurate; I could just imagine this serving at the defense of Rorke's Drift or some other battle of the 1879 Anglo-Zula War!mh1.jpg mn2.jpg

That rifling! Amazing for a 1&1/2-century firearm. Bbl looks better on the inside than the outside!

Well now I'm jealous. One because you have it and I dont' and two because you can actually take a bore picture and have it show up that good. No the bore, the picture. Bore still looks great though.

Great looking rifle! I have a Mk IV and shoot it a couple times a year. Lots of fun.
