Things I Miss

Outside of these two things I could do this forever. I miss work and I miss Ya'll. All else is "peachy".
I never thought I could miss so terribly an old(ish) grumpy guy who shaved off all his facial hair....but I do.....lol.

Luckily, next time I see this particular guy, he may be all back to "normal".....

I miss my wife and daughter while having to be out of town. My daughter has almost mastered crawling while I've been gone.

I too miss going inside to at least order food. Multiple orders at a drive through are fun.

Am I missing something?

I'm workin on it. I once told a man a beard would make me look 10 years older. He said Why? I said because it would take me 10 years to grow one.

I miss my alone time:D

My wife has been forced to stay home. But I'm still working. She works swing shift so when I get home she has been awake for just a few hours and has planned a million projects for me:rolleyes:

From her sheer boredom from the last two weeks my honey-do list has grown exponetially and she has been right there to supervise:oops: I may die from exhaustion.

I miss shopping
I miss cheap ammo
I miss shooting
I miss not having fear that I am bringing crap home to family or bringing crap into retirement communities
I miss seeing my parents

I miss much of what has already been said:

I miss having groceries readily available and not having to act like everyone around me has the plague.

I miss going out to eat.

I miss having the bbq in April and meeting up with friends and family we have not seen in some time.

I miss my son playing baseball and my husband coaching. I miss seeing the kiddos have fun together.

I miss hockey playoff season.

I miss the gym.

BUT....

I do not miss my daily commute

I do not miss getting up at the crack of dawn.

I do not miss shoveling my son off to school

I get to snuggle with my dogs more

I get to spend more time with my son

I have gotten to take some nice walks with @Chdamn.

I have started doing virtual Zumba with my girl friends from high school, which otherwise would have never happened.

I miss seeing my G-son and daughter.
I miss being able to walk in a store and getting exactly what I want and walking out after paying for it.

sitting inside of an establishment
knowing when I go to the store it (whatever it might be) will be in stock

I've been pretty fortunate. The only thing that I've been missing is shooting at Battery Oaks. Other than work being slower than normal, its pretty much routine for me. Still get to go by Midsouth once or twice a week and check out all the pretty toys. Have got a POS range at my other house where I can go shoot if I want and access to another range about 10 miles away that's open to members.
The one thing I realized I miss the most is all the brain cells I burned up earlier in life. I actually caught myself saying "not sure what I'm gonna do with all this time on my hands. I'm gonna be bored to death" . Yes, I said it out loud and in front of God and my Girlfriend. That problem got solved in about 30 seconds. Now I have some projects. Damn you would think by now I would be a little smarter than that.

I miss from the back hugs from @Burt Gummer
Naw, I really do miss the few friends that I have. I told a long time friend, that when we
were clear, I was going to hug her so good that she would want a smoke when I was done.;)

How is your little buddy doing with all this garbage going on? Hope all is well.

I miss my favorite Mexican restaurant, hanging out on Fridays with the other middle aged idiots at my friends gun shop, but I most miss going wherever I want whenever I want. When this is over I might just take a week with my wife and drive aimlessly wherever the wind takes us.

I was fixin' to ask the same thing.

I miss her the most. But I did go to her home yesterday, and just talked, outside, from a distance.
I was sad that no hugs, but it was good to see her and her mom.
Glad to hear that you are still able to see each other even if you can't hang out and do stuff.

I think we're all missing pretty much the same things, but the one thing I miss most that hasn't been mentioned is my church. Especially this week.

I pray this will all be over soon and we can get back - as best we can - to life before the pandemic. I also pray that our Supreme Creator's love will carry us all through this and bring us out stronger and more loving of our fellow man (and woman) on the other side.

May the Creator's Peace be upon us all during this trying time.

I miss going out to sit down at a nice restaurant...

I miss breweries and bars...

I miss vacation... All this cheap gas and nowhere to go...

I miss being able to to find a cart at Home Depot...

I miss visiting with people...

I miss going out for a walk, ride, paddle and not seeing every Tom Dick and Harry out doing the same thing, getting in my way...

I miss nothing. I'm still working.
At the center I used to work at, the girl doing the same job as me was potentially exposed. They decided she was not-at-risk enough, so she's still working. 2/3 of their staff are out sick and she's still going into the office daily, even though they don't have enough staff to be open some days.
I have very little to look forward to in all this mess.
I'm finally thinking of putting a will together, and that will both make my wife happy and scare the poop out of her.

I definitely miss going to our Church. I miss spring sports, girls were playing soccer for school and got a couple games in. I miss going out to eat every Friday night as a family. I miss going up to the mountains in March/April to open our house.

Some pluses for me have been getting the garden ready to plant this year. I hadn't planned to do a garden so having time is nice. Started cleaning and organizing my garage this week. Hope to start back working on my CJ5 next week.

Having the house to my self in the mornings.
Eating dinner at a restaurant
My Easter holiday.( We're wide open where I work, so we have to work good Friday and Easter Monday, days I usually get off)

I'm gonna be bored to death" . Yes, I said it out loud
I was sitting on a porch with my Aunt one day and she said "I'm bored". In about One minute she had a rake in her hand and was told to not come in til she had a 2 acre yard Clean. That was about 1957....I ain't been bored since that day!

I miss America...……..the one from way back before this current COVID-19 fiasco. Many on here won't remember or care but there are some on here who know exactly what I'm referring to.

I miss Her.

I miss knowing what day it is. I miss being able to make a plan in my alleged downtime because if I do I catch someone else's shifts. I miss being able to just walk in a store without all the ridiculous cattle herding BS they're doing. I miss common sense and not closing the country down for a 1. 5 percent fatality rate. I miss the new world order not being in control of everything and no longer working in the shadows.

@Geezer @BatteryOaksBilly @BASIL

I was not at all surprised who would know what I was referring to. Another reason I enjoy this forum so much and the like-minded people that make it my favorite place to hang out.

I miss going to a local brewery with the woman and having a beer. We still get a growler from the local places but drinking it on out back porch isn't the same.
I'm really going to miss Food truck friday in Rock hill this summer.
I also miss group run night on Tuesdays and Thursdays

I'm a contractor at CLT. I miss the buzz of the airport, it's super creepy over there right now.
Depending on the wind direction my house is in the pass of flights to CLT and I am afraid I will get used to the quietness :)

I miss going to church and being with church "family".
I miss being at work but not the commute.
I miss my paycheck and not knowing when it will start back up.

I enjoy more time at home, working on projects, spending time with the dogs. It would be even better if I could afford the projects.
