How are you killing your quarantine?

Wish kids where still home for home school. Brewing beer and wine. Bottled a small batchofbeer, pitched yeast, yeast nutrient and tannin to the 5 gallons of wine. Could call it both chemistry and biology.
Also used last bit of beer in the carboy to start a beer bread dough.
Everything cleaned up and ready for next time.

Jr and I built a tank trap barricade this morning. Took like 10 minutes and less than $30. Plus it’s collapsible to easily carry to the range in my truck.

Uggh...

About halfway through, I realized this wasn’t going to end well. One piece is missing, and it was obvious it wasn’t there when I went looking for it...because it was red with most of “George” on it in white letters.

Considering making one out of a piece of cardboard box.
That would bother me so bad.... it's the exact reason why I won't do puzzles anymore. I've bought new ones like you that were missing a piece. After taking hours to completes a very large puzzle to not be able to finish it basically demoralised me. Never again.

And what made this one worse than others is I knew it loooooonnnnng before I got to the end. :(

I kept going thinking maybe it had gotten knocked somewhere and we’d find it.

I was the recipient of a little (non contact) CFF love today. There's some awesome people on this forum.

I've been looking for 2-3 laying hens, they're scarce as, well, hens teeth.
Might have to travel a little once the coop is finished.
Nice eggs.

Roto tilled 4 new patches in the back yard for the Garden stuffs....
80% of our seed is back ordered. Cucumber, Zucchini, and I forgot. Was all they have to send.
Said the rest will sent be mid May.

I worked on the shooting bench my former son-in-law made.
Previously I had chopped up an old go-cart frame he had laying around so I could move it around easily.
Today I tore apart an old 4wheeler ride on and stole the front axle/steering assembly. Cut a spacer from scrap pecan and mounted it to the bench.
Then I replaced the jimmy-rig I did to the cart frame to lock the steering down so the wheels won't move- the "new" assembly will do the steering.

Old-

Then "new"

Only piece left is to fab up a steering arm...

Currently killing mine with 12 hour work days as an essential employee.

Hopefully I'll get more of the same next week.

Just got word that our vacations are now touch and go. I have one coming up next month that may, or may not happen now. Depends on several things. Yeah me! AT least they are rolling the days over till next year instead of paying them out. I prefer to use them. I work enough already.

Speaking of which...if this keeps up, I'll need to get in touch with the family for the upcoming family reunion this summer. In fact, I probably ought to do it now, what with it typically being in June and all. Even if things open back up by then, Aunt Venie is in her upper 90s and I don't think we really ought to be risking her life over this.

It’s just not my year for puzzles...

After my 1000 pieces Star Wars puzzle only had 999 pieces, I got an Avengers puzzle for my birthday last weekend. I’d worked on it enough Saturday to have the border done and we left the house as a family for the first time on Sunday for lunch. First time the dog had been alone in almost two months. Came home to find one piece chewed up. (but at least she didn’t completely eat a piece or hide one anywhere.
