not much change now. the impact this is going to have on my summer and fall is going to mean a boat load of ot... left my old job because of to much OT and this one is heading a similar direction. I am very thankful to have a great job that I enjoy. I pray that this is not the great depression part 2 we are entering.

Less service calls on air condition but that’s normal at these temperatures. Two nice projects are cancelled. Have not seen a bid on my computer in four weeks for commercial but I rarely bid anyway. The service calls I make now are taking much, much longer due to parts stores way of getting me supplies. You can’t go in anywhere for supplies. It takes the once slow as hell people twice as long and their service attitudes are even lower.

Being price gouged on many items to make up for loss of business by suppliers. Most warehouses have cut staffing and slashed open hours. Very frustrating even trying to get someone on the phone. My commercial refrigeration business side is dead. Completely 100% dead due to restaurant closure. The A/C calls for restaurant and retail is a zero. I had restaurant receivables that were overdue. I will never see a dime at any point even after this is over.

Have "worked" from home for almost 25 years. Began "semi-retirement" 8 years ago, dumped all clients except 3 and put them on retainer. Normal circumstances had me working 10 to 12 hours per week if I wasn't traveling. When this first hit and I needed to get things settled down it shot up dramatically but now that it's settled a little I'm back to 10 to 12.
Downside is that I was scheduled to begin my annual property tours (175 properties) the week after all this crap broke loose so that has been rescheduled until "sometime" later. Multi family housing has done surprisingly well through this since most people realize that without a roof over their head it gets worse so rent collections (96/98%) haven't taken a hit yet.

Covered up with work and dispatching from home instead of central office. Wife was furloughed, but she got a job as my assistant.

Big developments, additions, and other construction seems to be plugging away as usual. We'll see how long it takes for all of this to catch up to us.

"Less than half of normal"
would by my best answer.
Im still, technically, 'working' the same as my contract says - 7:45-3:15 daily. But there isnt too much to do but answer emails etc, and it's all from home

Id rather just go to work and do my job like normal.
I miss my work

What do you do?

Same, salaried exempt. Dept. broke up the 24 man staff into four weekly shifts. Work from home three weeks, in the office one week. Three major construction projects going on keeping us busy.

Consultant to owners of apartment communities..... 175 properties between 3 clients= 52,500 units of multi family housing......
Other than that......nothing...
WOW
So in what ways do you consult? What do you inspect?

Working same hours, just doing different work than I was hired to do. I'm okay with that as long as it is temporary.

I supervise the management operations through the VP's and Regional Mgrs. My contract calls for each (175) properties to be physically seen once per year and any deficiencies noted and addressed.... Other than that I just sit around on my butt.....and hunt, and fish, and shoot clays...

We are at about 30% of invoices before COVID-19 - we normally have 2 doctors on for 9 hours a day with 4.5 staff. Now we have 1 doctor and 2.5 staff for 3 hours a day.

I am still paying all staff and doctors for the avg. hours they had before and same benefits. I can do that for about 7 more weeks (8 if the wife and my $1200 comes in)

Healthcare IT. Been working from home for... 5 weeks? Since hospitals are only dealing with emergency cases, my work has been slow but it's still coming in and I'm still employed. I'm having trouble with the work/home separation lately but I'm working on that. Gun shop is still open so that has been my get out of the house routine, I'm gonna be broke by the time things get back to normal. :)

Furloughed since 25 March. I’m scheduled to be working out of town next week and hopefully back at my regular gig the following week. Wife has been WFH sine this thing started. Fingers crossed as I’m now 95% caught up at home! Did I say I hate painting??!

I’ve been off two weeks and off next week. Supposedly going back the fourth week.

Any of you "essential" folks having motivation issues? Everywhere I go are people out of work, griping about working from home, etc. I don't know if it's the stress of whatever the hell is going on in this world, or the adjustment to my work flow, but I'm having a hard time keeping my mind on my work and it feels like my day is an absolute uphill march (figuratively, as it usually is literally)

Few weeks ago it was 6 day weeks 12 to 14 hour days. Slacked off somewhat right now. Still busy as all hell though
