So I have always had an interest in long range shooting. I decided this spring to get into it. I bought a new Tikka in 6.5CM and needed to learn how to shoot it at distance. I looked over the different offerings around me and decided to give the guys at Bang Steel a shot. I attended their range day once and enjoyed it. They gave me data for my gun out to 2020 yds. Then I took their intro to long range class. We started the first day off with an explanation of various distance shooting information. We then did a quick confirm on zero and got data at 600. I went 9 for 10 on the 600 yd target I needed the day on the 910 yd target. I had a really good time. The second day we started at 720 and ended the day at 1200. The weather was a challenge but we made it work. I was able to repeatedly hit the 1200 and 1040 target in the driving rain and switching wind with the help of calls from the staff. I really enjoyed the class and they were very knowledgable about the subject. I would recommend them and plan to go back for a PRS class some time soon. The range is nice with an abundance of steel to engage from 460 to 1200 and they have a mile target too.
