Pigeon forge

Have fun bud! We really enjoyed our trip there. The kids loved the bird mountain sanctuary thing, and the comedy barn. I wish I could go back to the knife shop and spend more time, that place is insane.

wife needs to get up and pack, drop dogs by kennel, and we will be going that way.
Have reservations for Murder Mystery dinner theater. Looking to big Buds, Knife Works, Lodge cast iron outlet.
Love Mels whiney dinner. Old Mill Cafe, blacksmith shop and distillery there as well.

Beware Aunt Bugs Cabin Rentals. They tried to scam me out of $500 once. My credit card company literally had to threaten a lawsuit to get them to refund the money they tried to steal.

This was 10 years ago, but I keep telling people about it. At the time there was a lot of complaints about them on the BBB website and several online travel forums... Too bad I didn't learn about their scam until after we stayed there.

We always stay at same place. Get a small discount for repeat customers.
If whole clan goes we get a cabin. But not aunt bugs, name just throws me offthat place.

Buds is nice. But smkw has plenty of guns as well. About a year and a half ago I was up there on business and it seemed they had a bunch more then buds

Smoky Mountain Guns and Ammo website has some good deals on guns... And, they do free shipping and no tax if you live in NC.
 
I HIGHLY recommend the Apple Barn and the applewood restaurant. It's the star of Pigeon Forge IMO......I can look at knives and guns anywhere, but that fried chicken....not since Granny passed has fried chicken been made that almost brought a tear to my eyes
 
Bud's was a big disappointment for me. Nice range but my local LGS has a larger more diverse selection of guns. SMKW is fun. The gun section is meh unless you are a Sig fan. We were there during the Christmas holidays and I've never seen a better selection of Sig handguns anywhere.
That said we are planning another trip soon to meet some friends from Florida.
Glad to see you guys are enjoying yourselves Longmire.

ive been a dozen times and haven’t see it.
 
Rain has stopped. Buds is no big deal. I like what we have in NC better.
Knife works, looked a lot but bought nothing. Lodge cast iron I did pick up a two quart dutch oven. Since it is just two of us now makes sense. Seconds rack, lid cost more than the oven.
Lunch was Mels, checked into motel.
Waiting on wife, putt putt time.I

Great Smokey opera was really good. I went because the wife wanted to but I really liked it.
Comedy Barn is pretty good too.
Pirates and Hatfields and Mckoys were decent.
There was a giant buffet place that stays busy but the food, all 10k or whatever it was is a waste of money.

I own one of those trex suits. It's a lot of fun to wear and kids love them, but it gets hot as hell inside...

Bud doesn't stock that store well at all. If you want a shirt or hat, you're good. Looking for guns? Look elsewhere.

Did buds have a decent selection of primers and/or powder?

Will be in Sevierville tomorrow or Sunday. I have yet to find anywhere locally that keeps reloading stuff on hand....

So if buds does. It may be worth stopping by.
 
I really liked Pigeon Forge every time I visited. Used to live just an hour up the road in Bristol when I was a kid, but didn't visit there often. Too far from me now though, I might go again in 4 or 5 years.

We were out there early last year, it was a nice long weekend. SMKW was awesome! I could’ve spent like 3hr in that place but the wife not so much haha
