What range belt do you use?

Not really referring to typical dress style leather belts, more of dedicated range belts that are setup with mag holders, etc.

I have used a duty belt for years but they tend to wear out after about a year even though they can still be used. They become quite flimsy and without the dedicated inside belt become quite uncomfortable.

Have a AWR (advanced war fighting systems) (https://awsin.com/) location a few miles from my home, planning a trip this week.

Thinking about a belt like this:

What do you use? Pros/Cons?

The whole "no buckle" thing concerns me....I come from a buckle world. Does just velcro actually hold well?

I have some black scorpion mag holders, those are top shelf.

I wore Fatboys for a couple of summers in matches, but I get so sweaty I bought a 5.11 nylon rigger style belt. It does the job.
Infinitely adjustable, which is a plus.

Both my limited rig and my budget production rig use ancient safariland outer belts with Velcro inner belt.

The only other belt I use is a wilderness nylon belt.

I actually prefer it. The belt stays adjusted where you want it. Regardless if it's the main fastener or a backup to a buckle, it does not slip.
Velcro is loud though. Don't know that matters with a range belt, but when you take it off, everyone knows.

Yea as long as you have a keeper, a Velcro setup isn't going anywhere. I've seen guys have them start to peel off without a keeper, but there might be newer setups I'm not familiar with that don't do that.

I have several two piece competition belts.
DAA, Scorpion, and something else. Maybe blade tech. It’s the way to go. Very rigid.
Even my 3gun belt, which carries a ton of weight, stays put.
Don’t even use a keeper. Just make sure I order with plenty of overlap.

Cant use a buckle as there is stuff being used on that real estate. Either mag holder or shotshell holder depending on rig.

Use a fatboy or nylon single for daily carry of small gun.

I wear a High Speed Gear Inc with a Cobra buckle on it just about everyday. The days I don’t, i wear a 5.11 rigger’s belt. Both are heavy duty belts that won’t break down no matter what you load on them. However, both are expensive.

I have a HSGI slim grip belt with one of their rigger belts and the inner. Also have a bladetech competition belt when I want a lighter, less “tactical” setup.

if I were in the market for one I would buy this from blue alpha. Their belts are exceptional and U.S.A. made. Although the lead time on these can be quite long.

HSGI belt with Velcro inner and I have a padded sir grip slim inner belt or just the Velcro inner belt. Love the cobra buckle

The Velcro is across the whole belt. Yes, it does.
