Damn, it would have been great to throw a pig picking right in the middle of the thing. I’m traveling for work, but the girls are armed at home, hope it’s calm tonight.

yes we both work till 8:30pm, wouldnt be able to head down till around 9-9:30pm depending on how closing went that night. plus the hour and a half drive for us

WTF are they doing in downtown Waxhaw? Damn, I thought Union county was safe, but maybe too many virtue signaling SJW's moving there. I may have to get farther from Mecklenburg than I thought.
A police car just went through my neighborhood with blue lights on but not flashing driving slowly. Is that some kind of new patrol tactic. It sure isn't very sneaky. I'm in Wesley Chapel just up the road from Waxhaw.

From what I am hearing, Thursday is a trial run for the real event on Saturday evening. Can’t get the whole story. Some say Thurs is organized by Charlotte BLM and some high school kids with some speakers. They may or may not have approval of the police and mayor. Local businesses to be affected knew nothing of it and the mayors office is silent with regard to the gathering although they are pretty vocal about shutting down businesses that don’t comply with the 6 foot social distancing rule.
How do you have a mass gathering and have a 6 foot rule?

Waxhaw is mostly NYer's as is most of this side of the county. Several former NY cops are on the force there even. The sad part is the folks living there will welcome BLM the same as Indian Trail did yesterday. The Olde Dragon informed me 2 days ago shes siding with BLM & Antifa over the old rednecks & bigots that live in this area. I'm included in the old rednecks & bigots group. Lord I'm glad I'm old.
This will be a bunch of posers showing up for selfies to impress their facebook friends.
Them Waxhaw police are a crooked bunch on par with Cherryville and Catawba; I doubt destruction and upsetting their status quo gets too far.

Where in Ballyntine? I live inside 485 and some folks call this area Ballyntine but Ballyntine doesn't start until the outside of 485. Hell, Ballyntine wanted to secede from Charlotte a while back and wanted to take everything from Providence Square and out!

I believe they mean somewhere near or at Johnston Road (521) and Ballantyne Commons, but I haven't received any clarification yet. Possibly because they don't know or won't tell.
The wifes office is in Ballantyne commons (although she hasn't been there in a couple months). She received an email from the property manager today stating the same thing.
Where they IN the intersection? Guessing peaceful this time as we didn't hear much else about it.
They were burning cars down in Union Co.
