16 years old.

He was doing pretty good for an old guy but he took a bad turn Sunday. Went to the vet today and found he had advanced kidney disease and a huge bleeding mass on his spleen. They said he probably wouldn't survive the surgery and his condition would quickly deteriorate.

Never imagined losing a pet would be this tough.

This was his favorite game when we lived in AZ and he played for hours. I wasn't allowed in the pool without him (his rule).

Sorry for your loss Brian. It is tough. Rest In Peace Pooch.

What a sweet face!
I'm sorry for your loss, I know its tough.

I’m so sorry! They fill us while with joy while they are with us, and leave a big hole in our hearts when they are gone.

I am so sorry, man...just went through the same thing back in early May.

There was a fellow on here who posted something one time and I saved it. I have it hanging on my fridge at the house and I’ll post it here with the hope it’ll bring you as much help as it did for me...

Sorry for your loss Brian. That sucks

He'll be waiting across the rainbow bridge. I look forward to seeing all my many rescues who have gone on ahead. It will be a happy day.

Sorry for your loss.
Always hurts to lose a family member.

They never stay around long enough. Sorry for your loss.

A while back when I lost my friend Riley, you or someone else posted something similar. I remember reading it. It was both a comfort and a sadness. I hope, or rather believe you are correct.

Kind of like that scene out of Star Trek, where Kirk says he knows he’ll die alone, I know I’ll know I’ve passed when I meet a certain lost friend again.

Damn Brian, I hate to read this

Sorry for your loss Brian. 16 yo is quite impressive for one of our canine friends.

Sorry to hear about your buddy. It never gets any easier either.

Looks like he was loved and that's all they ask for. Well done sir.

I'm sorry for your loss. It hurts like no other.
