Glock Gen 4 production ending

Thats interesting. I have a work Gen 4 G17. Out of the 20 or so others, as well as mine, have some issues.

The gun functions flawless. The grip texture...ehh...not a fan. The slides rust constantly no matter how much you clean them. The slide finish is VERY thin. It has worn through quickly where my Gen 3 G26 that belongs to me and also get carried a ton, shows no wear from a kydex style golster.

I think Gen 4 had quality control issues and instead of fixing them, they just discontinued instead.

I agree with the finish, I owned multiple Gen4 variants and the finish wasn’t great in any of them. My G19 Gen 4 I carried extensively for several months looked worse than my G19 Gen 2 that was a police trade in.

I never had a problem with the Gen 4 frames fitting my hands, and preferred that style mag release but ultimately I’m going all Gen 5
