Comfortable hat.
Decent hearing protection, preferably electronic so you can easily hear R.S.O. commands.

Tactical turrets.
Good quality/sturdy bipod.
Chamber flag or some form of empty chamber indicator.
A current/verified zero on your rifle.

DOPE card or arm band and pen.

Range cart and/or two dependable Sherpas for lugging all this extraneous comfort gear from stage to stage.

A good attitude and a sense of humor.

What you really need is
  • Accurate Rifle and 2 mags
  • 100 rounds of ammo
  • Chamber Flag
  • Rifle dope
  • Bipod
  • Rear squeeze bag
  • Sharpie to write dope on your hand or some sort of dope card on your rifle (piece of kydex with a pipe cleaner works real well just slap masking tape on it each stage)
  • Some means to carry your ammo and rifle (back pack, cart, etc.)

Nice to have
  • Game changer bag
  • 12 round mag
  • Kestrel
  • Spotting scope or Binos
  • Other bags
  • Knee pads

Other stuff to bring
  • Sunscreen
  • Bug spray
  • Water
  • Snacks
Honestly anything on the nice to have list you can borrow. The PRS crowd is pretty nice and will loan you whatever you need. We always have a bazillion bags and scopes on any squad I have ever been on.

This. I shot my first match’s this year. Everyone is super nice and will help you a lot at your first. They’ll let you borrow just about anything. Also don’t spend $ on nice to haves until you’ve shot a match. Odds are you’ll want something else.

Edited to add: if you’re going to get into it join the PRS with a regional membership. It’s $40 and gets you access to many discounts. You’ll save the $40 with first couple purchases.

Savage 110 Elite Precision Rifle on the way
Rear squeeze bag
I have a Harris and Magpul Bipod, but need an ARCA Rail adapter to match up.
3-15X SWFA SS or a 4-14 Viper PST, going to get a 5-25 once the money is there.
Ballistic AE app
Bushnell Range finder
I have a shoulder bag that should work.

I need electronic hearing, all of my others aren’t...

Here is a RRS ARCA adapter for the Harris. https://soar.reallyrightstuff.com/HC-Pro-Clamp-for-Harris-Bipod

Also check my prior post for the edit I added.

By the way, mine loved the Berger 105 preloaded ammo from Berger. It will take it 150 rounds to settle down. Take your time and get a box of cheapest hunting ammo you can find to break the barrel in and do the final lapping. On a bolt gun I shoot 1 round and clean with a good copper cleaner and repeat at least 3 times or until no copper fouling comes out. Then I do 3 rounds and clean with copper cleaner. Again repeat until no copper fouling. Then go to 5 rounds. By this point one round should be clean and you are pretty much good to go. Let it cool between rounds as well.

Not sure how far you are from Coleman's Creek but I think we will be down there on the 18th and can take a guest if you are ready to shoot at some distance by then. $50 guest fee but you have access to everything all day. Will have my labradar with me as well.

Adding to all of the above that's been mentioned, and a couple of things I carry in my range box and or my pack when I shoot matches:
FAK / Trauma pack. Yes, the RO will [should] have one, never hurts to have one yourself. Particularly the trauma kit. 5.11 and LAPG have them on sale frequently. 25ish bucks or so.
Backup eyes. Backup ears. If you use electronic earbuds then have a couple pairs of foam plugs or whatever on standby. Batteries go dead, and electronics fail. I use an old Rx bottle with a handful of them in there. Throw it in your pack and go.
Kestrel would be nice to have. Not required. Anyone with one will always allow you to chimp theirs when they're taking readings which you can note in your dope before each stage if you're dealing with wind calls.
I also keep a small personal pack of personal / hygiene shit. Chap stick, eye drops, aspirin/Tylenol, migraine Rx, (specific to me obviously), sun hat, nail clippers, baby wipes, and a few snacks. Cliff bar, nuts, candy, etc. Along with water. Either in bottle format, or buy a bladder that fits in your bag/pack.
Small tool / clean kit. Maybe not in your pack you take out to the stages, but I keep one in my range box. Allen, torx, screwdrivers, brushes, patches, ripcord, etc. Everything I take with me fits nicely in a 30cal box. Again, I don't take it down to the line with me, but have it at the truck if needed or in my larger rolling range box.

Everyone has said it and I'll echo it as well. You can basically show up with a solid rifle and a good attitude and you'll get squadded with a half dozen other guys who will have piles of gear, and do nothing shy of pulling the trigger to help you along with tools, equipment, tips, coaching, pointers, etc.

Good set of polarizing sunglasses, gloves and a cap and hat.

Hey the only thing you might consider is a good brake instead of a can. The brake will control recoil better most prs shooters have gone away from a can honestly.

also expect about 150 rounds for the velocities to settle down.

It came with a brake... can’t tell from the pick, but that is the DA E-Brake on the end of the Nomad also.

Also beef jerky.
Proven fact that if you have jerky in your pack, you will shoot ± .5MOA in essentially any conditions. Meteors, rain, 30mph gusts, mirage, blindfolded, whatever. Just don't forget the jerky.
