RBG Hospitalized...

I wonder how late she could leave the court and still have time for Trump to get an appointment through.
 
Politics and everything aside...damn, 87 years old and still able (minus infections) to carry out one of the most important and cognitively demanding jobs in our gov system. It’s just impressive no matter what. Never realized any were THAT old.

If by some miracle I’m still alive at 87, I will barely be so. I imagine I’ll be a fat useless mess who can barely remember his name.
 
Setting her judicial and political positions aside, RBG is/was a legit badass in her field. I can respect someone even if I don’t agree with their positions.

Why do you say this (badass part)?
I dont know much about her, Im curious what it is that makes you say that about her.

And I like that you can respect someone even if they have different views on you - much different than some folks

Despite being diametrically opposed on issues, I think judge Scalia and her were very good friends.

Yes, they would take trips along with their spouses.
I think Trump would honor The Biden Rule and wait untill he wins reelection to name a nominee.

As a Jewish woman and mother (3 strikes) in the 1950s & 60s, she graduated top of class from Cornell, Harvard and Columbia. Was “first woman” to do a bunch high profile stuff in the law. Her politics suck, but she broke a lot of barriers.

Silly man...she was a moderate conservative...we all know that only raging liberals ever break barriers. Conservatives only serve to block any meaningful advancement and all of her accomplishments were only a front by the patriarchy.

Totally agree. Not my pick for Supreme Court but she conquered many mountains to success. She overcame a lot of setbacks on her way to the top.

Nobody demanded all of her paperwork from her tenure at the ACLU compared to recent nominees up for the SCOTUS.
 
Well we have that Biden rule about SCOTUS so I want her to live to attend the Trump Inauguration in 2021. SCOTUS #3, 4 and 5 before 2024.
 
And, RBG has been released from the hospital.
