In the event that a vaccine is available for the Corona virus, will you take it?

It will probably be mandatory for my line of work as well. So, reluctantly yes if I absolutely have too.

Nope. I don’t trust it anymore than all the BS they’ve been trying to shove down our throats. Once it’s been out for a while and has been proven, if it’s still necessary, sure.
Basically this. There's been so much uncertainty and questionable information on this whole thing, With so many "experts" saying so many different things, I'm not sure I trust a "cure". Not yet anyway.

There is no "Vaccine" for the flu. Only "flu-shots". I've taken a flu shot maybe three times in my life, because it was being offered and I was in the right place at the right time and I was "sure why not". I can't remember having "the flu" since I was in high school though. ...so... I'm not for or against "flu shots". This one, I'll wait and make up my mind when I know something about it.

As others, I sure won't be listening to the "experts"... They've been wrong on everything regarding regarding SARS CoV-2 so far, the media is 95% politically-driven lies and distortions, Fauchi's probably in bed with the Bill Gates for-profit-vaccine thing, and hell, there actually could be something sinister to be administered in it. Who knows as of now? I'll figure it out when the time comes.

I'll take it in 5-6 years after all the little things are worked out with it, maybe.
if there's anything wrong with it, VAERS will probably light up in the first couple weeks. Lots of people are gonna rush for it.
I'll drag my feet a little and then get it because vaccines don't scare me.

Reactions: Me.
I took the flu shot once after mom's doc guilted me into it.
For a YEAR thereafter, any time someone even passed me in the hall at school and looked at me funny, I would get sick! Every cough, every sneeze from another person, I'd get very sick. A YEAR! I never got sick before that or after, not like that.

Not taking any shots unless they hold me down and make me take it.

When I was on active duty, they forced me to take a flu shot each year. Every freaking time, I got the full blown flu two days later. I would go to medical and they would say, "it's not possible to get flu from the flu shot".

Im telling you they were wrong.

I came off active duty in 2010 and have not had a flu shot in the last 10 years. You wanna guess how many times I've had the flu in the last 10 years? NOT A SINGLE TIME!

Im not taking a flu shot, and I'm not taking a freaking covid shot...

Edit to add: I'm pro vaccine. My kids are vaccinated. My wife and kids get the flu shot every year and they are fine. Im the one who is adversely affected by the flu shot. I wouldn't tell anyone else not to take it... Just me...

I don't trust rushed scientists. I had an aunt we called her Monk. She had her polio vaccine (maybe small pox) and got really sick and spiked a fever causing brain damage. She lived to late 50's with my grandparents when she passed away.

That and I don't like needles.

Im saying no only because I dont like needles at all. Hate them. Dont get any shots

My buddy's wife used to work for the FDA in Washington, DC. Her department reviewed new drugs and either approved or rejected them. Now, she works for a drug manufacturer. She says that there will be months of development and then months of testing on monkeys, beagles, and other creatures even before the vaccine can be submitted for approval. She thinks the Corona will move on before a vaccine is developed.

I'll try anything once. Might go back and get another if it is good to me. Seriously, I would take it. I've been taking the flu shot for about 10 years and not so much as a cold since I started taking it.

I work in pharmaceutical research... Every large drug company in the world is rushing to be the first one to bring a covid vaccine to market. They aren't doing it to save lives. They are doing it to make Brazilians of dollars...

Covid isn't going away any time soon... There will be vaccines approved for it within the next 2-3 months. Big pharma will continue to get richer... Poor people will continue to get poorer...

Never took flu shots until about 10 years ago. Rarely sick, had flu once. Started flu shots because they were free with wife a county employee. Got the flu a few times during that period having the shot. Wonder if it broke down my tolerance to the flu. I would say no to the first year unless it gets desperate.

I'm guessing it will be mandatory where I work.
So if it comes down to my job or the shot I'll take the shot.
I'm three and a half years away from retirement.
They stopped the company funded pension in 07 but I've been there since 2000 which means I'm still eligible if I complete my years of service,
Mercenary I know but I haven't hung in for twenty years because it was fun

I'm hoping this...

But I'm expecting this...

I have nothing worthwhile to add other than the first time my doctor finally convinced me to take the flu shot one October I then got full blown influenza six months later for the first time in my life. I asked him about that the next time I saw him and he said the shot wasn’t good for that long. and I realize that the shots are strain specific. Sorta like Covid.

I wonder what else they will put in it, like they do with Tetnus... two other vaccines in there with it.

There has never been an effective vaccine for an RNA virus. I don't think rushing it will result in an effective vaccine for C19.

Work in healthcare and I probably won’t have much of a choice (if I want to keep job) so I put down yes.

What makes anyone think they want an effective C19 vax? It doesn’t have to be effective. They just have to make you take it.

If there is a mandatory vaccine, I’m wondering what else will be in it, too.

I don't think they want an effective C19 vax... there will be lots of people who believe it is effective. But Federal Law prevents us from knowing the efficacy of Any Vaccine.

The Moderna vaccine will be the first FDA approved RNA vaccine ever approved and to say it has been rushed through trials is an understandment (they did in months what typically takes years, from a regulatory standpoint). We reviewed some of the mouse data results (https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.06.11.145920v1) and there are a few headscratchers when it comes to their results.

Will I take it? Yes, eventually. Will I be first in line? Absolutely not.

This.

I don't want anything the first time it comes out- meds, cars, guns...

Pharmas also control all testing.
If they test a substance 1000 times, and 995 show it's dangerous, they're allowed to discard 995 studies, and only publish the 5 that didn't.
