People getting calls from me, that I’m not making?

Have you checked your last couple bills to see whether there are calls/texts to numbers you don’t recognize?

They aren't calling with his number, they just change the number displayed. There was a law passed recently that will require number authentication on calls so the display matches the call.

Unless democrats snuck in gun control or some shut.

I was just suggesting a way to verify his sim wasn’t cloned.

I have gotten calls from my number.
I also had a guy call me and swear up and down that I called him and hung up. We went back and forth, he threatened me with physical harm because I told him that I didn’t do it.

People are so weird.

it gets fun when the number that is calling you is YOUR number!

i’ve had this at least twice.

it’s bizarre
I often talk to myself.

But, rarely by phone. o_O

I remember when this first started some years back, and I got calls at home, from my home number.
Que Twilight Zone music.
That happened to my mom about half a dozen times. She finally turned her home phone off.

I got a call just yesterday and the people were like “you just called me”

I don’t argue anymore. I just say “wrong number, my bad” and hang up

Years ago I was in Las Vegas and got a call from a hooker asking me to confirm my room number. She was not happy that I insisted that I hadn’t ordered any services.

As a few folks have said, a bad guy just put your phone number in his outbound caller ID. Happens all the time and he’ll atop eventually.

I had this happen a couple of years ago. Telemarketer evidently used my number for two days for every call they placed. I got 100 calls a day from people asking what I wanted, cussing me out and several who wouldn't believe it wasn't me. I set my phone to only take calls from my contacts but if someone calls you back from the same number it lets it through. And nothing anyone could do about it.

Ended up setting my voicemail message with an explanation that's still on my phone now.

I was so pissed I could have strangled someone and grinned as the light left their eyes.

I made the mistake of trying to explain “spoofing” to some older lady who called me twice in a row wondering why I called her. She was nice and super confused, so I figured what the heck... mistake. She didn’t think it was possible to do that.

If they call me back a second time, we’re having phone sex whether they like it or not

Heck, my wife doesn’t think it’s possible. The questions I get at my house would baffle any 3rd grade teacher, and my kids are long gone.

Only a man secure in his masculinity, and not afraid to live the rest of his life alone would say that on a forum where his “partner” has an account.
o_O

:D

Eh. She’s heard lot worse, after all, she’s been in the same room with @Chdamn and I.

My daughter had some guy calling her saying she kept calling him, he got pretty vile and left some rather disturbing messages on her VM, she only brought it to my attention after the VM and played it for me.

I researched his phone number, found out who he was, where he lived, where he worked and what car he drove etc.

I called him from my daughters phone and told him who I was and why I was calling, he started off being a smartass so I dropped a few nuggets of personal information about him to get his attention, I then explained that my daughters number had been “spoofed” and told him how that works, I also told him it’s probably a good idea to remove his personal info off of social media because that’s how I gathered my information about him, he apologized and we hung up.

About 2-3 months later he started getting people calling him and asking why he kept calling them, like he was doing to my daughter, he actually called my daughters number and left a 2-3 minute apology message about how he acted and what he said to her, this is how we know the same thing happened to him.

They called once & had spoofed Domino's Pizza's #. I just told the guy if the best he could was the local pizza joint, that he really needed to up his game.
