Finally, who wants to live in a city where local militias are asking if you have any business entering their streets? That is not how life in America is supposed to work.

This is all bad, very bad… Untrained citizens with firearms patrolling the streets is a terrible idea. The potential for civil rights violations, for someone getting hurt or worse needs not be pointed out.

Are they charging the businesses for protection or Somali lingo: extortion.

Either I didn't recognize sarcasm (my bad if so, and I would love to be one who mistook), or I didn't get what exactly the idea that "only specially trained ... must be entrusted" and "letting civilians protect themselves is bad... very bad idea" is doing here. Isn't "millions stupid Bloomberg cows for gun control" forum would be a better place for such statement?

Ask yourself, what would the founding fathers opinion on the matter be?

Read the article . it's toward the bottom.

Kind of lost here. Some of the people got what they wanted, the others got told what to do because they did not defend the idea. Now, the government is wavering and the 2ndA again goes front and center to defend people, property and way of life.

Sounds like a democracy to me.

Whats the issue?

I do see the lesson, tribes fly in the face of nationalization. If you have a group of tribes, you do not have a county.

Once the neighborhood checkpoints go up, the shooting starts. That's when it gets real.
I think we’re getting close to seeing this pop up in more cities. As the antifa-types get more bold and LE is forced to step down, there won’t be many alternatives. It’ll be interesting to see what else transpires from now to November.

I think the author is right about it being "not fun" for the residents. I wouldn't be happy about having to finish work for the day, then do all my farm chores, then eat, then take my shift on the wall/patrol? Wee, a part time job on top of everything else... that's going to get old quick. Add to that the very people who I'm being 'forced' to defend against are getting paid by the .gov that's taking my money... and when the situation is normalized will come after me and mine for anything that might have happened, real or merely perceived by the social justice victims?

That's a recipe for unhappiness.

Or, to simplify, riding around in the back of a hilux is all fun and games until you have to do it. Then it's just a crap unpaid job you could die at for no gain.

I'm only gonna say this once:

If Toyota Hilux's start showing up in the Midwestern-Eastern region then govco needs to answer some questions..

Would make a fun halloween costume to go driving around the neighborhood in. Or is that cultural appropriation?

I don’t feel the least sorry for those people who elected their leaders and allowed an invasion of dangerous people. They have been told how these liberals are a threat to the community and were non believers. Lessons come in dangerous ways sometimes. Enjoy your dunghole you created.

Is that a snorkel or is it an optical illusion, they have a lot of water crossings over there?

Real question, if you felt the need to do this in your neighborhood (you farm guys don’t need to weigh in) would you want lots of video to hopefully show that you did the right thing if you had to act, or no video so it’s just “he said, she said” with you vs the statements from the “protestors?”

I would roll camera all the time. They are, and if theirs is the only 'evidence' (edited to make you look like you just shot up them dind't doo nuffins' because you're evil) that gets presented... well you lose regardless of right/wrong.

And if you're in the wrong, it's easy to delete your footage. :)

Show video evidence to who? If it gets do bad that we're enclaving our neighborhods, I would presume a breakdown in government.

OTOH, it might be good to have a video record for whatever reason.

It seems quite simple. People want the structure of their old society and if government isn’t going to provide that through a standing police force then they are going to do it themselves. The same thing would likely happen anywhere.

These people are now bound by no processes that the previous police followed so their likelihood to inflict harm or death increases. I say let them have at it, they created that mess.

They are enclaving neighborhoods, so that part is already established. The .gov has failed, but it will be back and whoever 'wins' is going to use the .gov to go after whoever 'lost'. That's when you'll need your evidence. Zero chance the US .gov goes to zero, there will always be someone with more firepower to claim to be in charge.

When they start blocking access to fast food drive throughs then they will have pulled the plug on death and destruction like they have never seen or wish to see again.

I have to wonder about the other side's resolve. They've been getting away with their crap, 'cos everyone's doing the "kid gloves" routine with 'em & won't shut 'em down. Seems like the crowd scattered like roaches when dude shot the douchebag with the AK in Austin. I know they're dangerous, but what will happen when a dangerous man man gets cornered/threatened/has enough? I don't think they've they've got the sand to stay in the fight when a couple good ol' boys get serious & take the fight to them.

Drugs make heroes out of cowards and that crowd is loaded with liquid nerve.

you've never encountered anyone on Khat in Africa? it's a plant they chew on that has the same effect as cocaine but lasts longer, it makes them feel strong and fearless, they need to be put down fast

Killing a few won’t take the fight out of the rest. Until it becomes embarrassing or boring to be associated with the movement they’ll stay at it. An occasional killing just fuels the beast.

To that point I’ve been thinking about using well known methods for extracting oils from plants to produce a Urishiol extract that could be mixed with beeswax and rubbed on things like car door handles or maybe protest signs or bottles of water distributed to protestors.

IF you wanted to be a real jerk, and i'm sure you don't because we're only having a hypothetical thought exercise, you'd extract a lot and mix it into the smoke bombs you throw into a crowd
