Glocks don't shoot straight

I thought everybody knew that you *might* need to drift Glock rear sights a smidge to the right.
It ain’t rocket surgery.

When I bought my G48, the rear sight was off-center (to the right). Sounds like what they are claiming. Of course, it is an easy fix but you would think QC at the factory would catch this mistake.

“They (Glock representatives) also suggested that our officers just don’t know how to shoot Glocks and were simply holding the guns wrong.”

No way that’s the case right? Nah, definitely something wrong with the gun.....

Just like every golf club I’ve ever bought has a wicked slice built into it. It’s the club not my skill I swear.
Is that why you tell your wife you need the latest, more expensive new clubs?

It's all part of Glock perfection: bullets fired from Glocks can turn corners; rise up or nosedive down about obstacles. Seize control of your trajectory: buy a Glock.

It all depends on how your eyes work when you shoot. I’ve never had a problem with Glock sites. But 2 of the 3 sigs I’ve owned have shot right (for me) and I had to drift the rear site a bit to get them on center.

I'm angry that every Glock I have ever owned shot better - and straighter - than I do. The only sights that I have ever had to 'adjust' were replacements that I installed.

A friend of mine and I was at his agency's range when the Gen 4 Glocks were new shooting his 1911 that had about 3k of upgrades. An LEO down the way was complaining about how inaccurate all Glocks were , so my friend ask him if he could take a few shots with the bad gun. So my friend shoots a very tight group with the G22 gen 4 and walks away. He's a very skilled pistol shooter btw.

I’ve never shot a Glock that I didn’t shoot a little left. I even mentioned it at the old site that shall not be named. I was told I didn’t know how to shoot and was pulling it and didn’t have my finger on the trigger correctly and blah blah blah.

Funny that they always group well at that left POI. Funny how the HK, XD, and S&W’s in the safe don’t consistently do that.

But I just hate a boxy Glock so maybe it is me.

I thought they were supposed to do that.

That's strange. My clubs have a wicked, low, left hook. You can almost hear the ball quack!

Ive had a bunch of glocks over the years. I had a long slide 9mm that wouldnt hit the broad side of a barn. The most accurate and "straight shooting" outta the box was my friend's G19. Ive tried buying it from him several times. This reminds me I need to text him again.

I have one Glock: a G19 Gen4. I noticed when I got it (checks spreadsheet; yes, OCD) four years ago, that it shot 115gr ball a bit left and high at 15 yards. Drifted rear sight a tad (that's a precisely measured small number :D ); now POI = POA in windage for 115gr. Haven't gotten around to trying heavier bullets; it will be interesting to see if increasing bullet weight brings POI down in elevation at that same range.

Oh, and the guys at the department in the original article...get a damn punch.

The only trouble we have had here is the Ruger LCP in .22...shoots 2 inches left at 7 yards...No Way to fix it...........:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
Can’t ya open up the rear sight or thin the front so that when it’s centered it’s on target? I thought BO was properly equipped with Dremels. :D

Kentucky windage. :D

My shooting is getting better. But under stress I believe my shooting will be low and left as I grip the gun hard and yank the trigger. Therefore, I would aim at the right LEFT (my right) shoulder and probably wear a hole out all over the heart area.

I figured it is a built in lead , cause bad guys usually go to the left.
Well, they are sinister, after all!

What about my G26? It's started shootin' 6" high.

Which golf club should I hit it with to make it shoot straight again?

For short distance go with a putter. Long range probably 3 or 4 iron. That should keep 'em low.

Point of interest - if I purposely/knowingly left malfunctioning equipment in service, I would lose my job. If somebody were hurt because I purposely/knowingly left malfunctioning equipment in service, I could go to prison.
Must be nice to be the chief and be able to blame somebody else for everything

I have a Mosin m91 with a barrel that looks like a sewer pipe and it can shoot better than me....and I shoot a good groups with all my Glocks!

I’ll be happy to shoot all of the “defective” guns, the ones that shoot straight for me and not the officers should be surrendered to me in the name of public safety.
