Last year during Dorian, I slept on the floor of a closet in town hall in a closet. I want to get something a little more comfortable and an area to leave my stuff underneath it. Last time I slept on a cot was at Scout camp. Need something fatboy friendly and that will most likely stay folded up in a closet 354 days a year.

What you got?

I "acquired" one of these cots the last hurricane.

Combined with a cheap inflatable mattress pad I found on Amazon, which is surprisingly good quality and has the night feature of using the bag it comes in to inflate it.

I use a fleece Kelty blanket that is zippered and like a light weight sleeping bag and am pretty comfortable.

There's plenty of space under the cot for me to stow all my stuff as well. It all packs up into a larger duffle bag with some extra work stuff and lives ontop of my locker.

I've actually considered getting one of the Outsunny "cot tents", think a cot with a tent ontop of it, to have a little more privacy the next time I have to sleep in a NG armory or HS gymnasium with 100 other people.

Don't worry. Since that won't promote social distancing, they'll just make you stay home during a hurricane. More saferer.

I like the Cabela's brand guide series.
Doesn't sink into the ground because it was large plastic pads on the feet. Very stable.
It's tri folding so I can elevate my legs or head if I want.
(Nice to elevate legs after a long day in the woods!)

This is what I was using when I was tent camping, with the mattress it is very comfortable. A lil $$$ but well worth it for a good nights sleep.

I have one of those, but can’t remember the brand. I bought it for some of our off-road (Jeep) adventures. Not sure I’ve ever even taken it out of the bag, but it sure seemed like a great idea at the time.
