Oh Deer, Now for Something Completely Different

I fertilized the lawn this morn and found who’s eating my garden plants. This deformed guy walks out of the woods, lets me pet him and loosen his flea collar!?!
We’re not in what you’d call a neighborhood, were surrounded my property that’s hunted.
I’m torn on harvesting him this season. His mouth and rack’s deformed, he shouldn’t be breeding, yet it’ll be the opposite of sporting. I’ll look for one of these groups that are neutering deer for pop control. I think I’ll start chasing him off with a Daisy Red Rider. At least he’ll fear people with bang sticks. This is our place in the woods.

Momma probably abandoned him if he couldn't latch on to her teet.

They don’t touch the zoysia, he did take the weeds I pulled from my hand. They’re eating th carrots, jalapeños, tomatoes, cabbage, squash...

Tie him out.
He will eat zoysia if that's all there is.

I’m going to remove the electric fence around the food plot. Hopefully that buffet will keep them busy.

And yes if you can get that little buck neutered that would be awesome. You're right he doesn't need to breed.

If he lets you touch him, reach under there and snip him.

Why would you even consider “harvesting” the deer.
There are plenty others I am sure for you to forage on.

Enjoy his company, maybe he will even teach you a thing or two.
