Hey folks! I have a Gen 5 Glock 34 that I'm trying to make into a race gun. A competition winner. Dummy-light trigger pull, super-short reset for quick followup shots, a crisp clean glass rod break, readily positive reset, and hopefully a good accuracy improvement. Anything under $300 I'd consider reasonable and where I'm looking for. Anything more, well we'll see. I'm looking for something that'll do Three Gun. Spit the rounds out accurately as fast as possible if I do my part, with as clean a break and as positive a reset as possible.

Unfortunately, I'm at a roadblock because I don't know which trigger to go with. I've standardized on the Geissele Super Dynamic 3-Gun trigger on my ARs, and if I had to give a concept for what I'm looking for here, it's "if you took the GSD3G trigger and put it into a Glock 34." That same concept. I'm not really worried about this being a duty-style gun.

What should I go with? School me on the full thing. Trigger shoe, trigger bar, springs, etc. I don't know Glock triggers. They seem more complicated than an AR trigger. I just know I'm still using the factory stock one, and it's not really all that great.

I'm also looking for competition holster recommendations, because longpistol is long.

Thanks a bunch!

I run the glocktriggers.com Edge in all of my Glocks. It's possible with the right springs to get a sub 3lb trigger pull.

Neat! Which springs?

Edit: oh neat, the Edge includes the full kit. That's handy. Nevermind.

Yup....I think the 4.0lb spring gives you right around 3lbs. The 4.5lb spring is around 3.5lbs.

I like the zev trigger, but I've seen several go full auto. I'd stay away from the zev. I've tried the CMC and wasnt that impressed.

I'd like to state the obvious - it's a glock. You will def not get a pull like your AR - nor should you. Without an external safety it would be negligent to have something that light. Especially since you mentioned 3gun, which sometimes means holstering a hot gun.

Pins out, assembly out, assembly in, pins in..SHOOT!
Many on here have felt my G26 trigger. Amazing. 3 pounds Crisp! Always in a holster....ALWAYS!

That's pretty awesomely easy, and it sounds like you really like them too. That's two solid votes for the Edge, so I'm looking into them for sure. :D

Gnash, what I REALLY like about them is..All Factory Glock Parts. The much more experienced man that turned me on to them said...You can Never get this result by replacing different parts...The 3 pound CRISP is why @amnesia is the owner of a Wilson EDC today. The trigger was the final tipping point that lead me to a $400, 16 shot [ 19 mags with sleeves], absolutely reliable, super light EDC. Before this Edge the Wilson was the only way to get All my requirements.

That’s it! Time to buy 10 g26s!

Thank you all so much for your help. :) With @BatteryOaksBilly 's enthusiasm and all video reviews putting grins on the faces of the users, I ordered a Glocktriggers EDGE Competition Trigger to try out. I'll let y'all know how it does once I've got it installed and tried at the range! :D

If he doesn't like it I'll buy it from him...and buy another Glock to put it in.
Yep! 3 pounds Crisp! The best of all worlds, Small, Reliable, Light Weight, Reliable, Great Capacity, Reliable and on top of all that the end result is Not expensive.

I put the one @Lil D ordered in her Glock 26 a couple weekends ago. Neat little kit and not hard at all to install

Oh! I never did update this. The Glocktriggers Edge Competition trigger came in pretty quickly. It installed extremely easily with help of a few Youtube videos and written instructions, and so far I've put a couple hundred rounds through the gun using this trigger with no issues that were the fault of said trigger. :D I'm quite pleased with the result, I consider it a definitely worthwhile investment, and I appreciate all of your help in making a sound decision! This made my Glock 34 pretty awesome, and I have y'all to thank for it. :D

Either Overwatch Precision (I prefer the Falx), or SSVI Tyr.

You gonna try any matches?

I am! Now that I've got some proper handloads worked up, I want to try the Two Gun matches put on by both DPRC and the Burlington club, by way of Z.E.R.T. :D

DPRC is rimfire only. Super fun match.

The 2gun in Burlington is fun. Have shot it often. Seen ZERT dudes there. PM next time if you go.

Yep. :) I'm more or less ready for Two-Gun Rimfire. My pistol is set up. I need to decide if I want to move to using an LPVO on my S&W 15-22, rather than the Vortex 1x Spitfire prism optic that's on it right now.

Cool! Any thoughts or advice for where to go starting on it? Yeah I might know (at least know of) the ZERT folks you saw. Definitely can do! I'll just need to find out when the next match is.

Just my opinion, but for DPRC I'd use the spitfire. It's all very close targets. You would use the LPVO on 1x the whole time anyway.

As far as the CCGC 2-gun; make sure you have a good rigid belt mounted holster. Do not use cheap nylon or anything with a trigger finger activated retention, like a Serpa.
Also, two mag pouches for pistol, and one for rifle. Rifle mag can go in back pocket if on a budget.
Just show up, listen closely to Safety Briefing, and listen closely to Range Officer.
Plan on doing two things (in this order): being safe and having fun.
Perfect match for starting in centerfire. 4 stages and doesn't run too late.

Awesome. Everything less than 50 yards then? That'd be great because the 1x is nice, light and small. The 15-22 weighs practically nothing, so it's wonderfully handy with the Spitfire.

Makes sense. Yeah I've got a good one for that. A Comptac Glock 34 holster: https://comp-tac.com/international-holster-belt-paddle-drop-offset-holster-comp-tac/
Yeah. Currently I've just got a 3-3 Stanag/doublestack-pistol pouch that I got cheap at a gun show a year or two ago. It's got the bungee straps on it though, rather than the grab-n-go HSGI taco pouches I'd like to have. I also just have my normal concealed carry belt as the belt I'd put it all on. I don't have a dedicated competition belt, and could use some recommendations on what to use instead for said competition belt.
I am all about safety and having fun. Muzzle control, trigger finger safety, all that won't be an issue.

Yes, well inside 50 yards. Rare to see anything beyond 15 yards at the rimfire match. More speed focus than precision. Super fun.

For the CCGC 2-gun, Comptac is perfect. Any mag holders will work, but open top work best. Tacos are fine if you are into that.
There will only be one or two pistol reloads at that match. For a belt, I have worn my regular CCW Fatboy belt before. Depends on laziness factor.
But ultimately, I would recommend a good 2-piece competition belt like DAA. It just holds gear much better and more comfortably, and you can take outer belt with all the gear off, and still be wearing inner belt.

But I'd say you have what you need. Go to match and you'll see what you need, if anything. Sounds like you have a handle on it.

Next match is Dec 12th, so you better be ready!
