I bet they are regretting setting up those lines now. I am sure they did it for ease of operation and for economy of scale but will the SPP shortage now I wonder if they can switch back.

In the past it did not bother me that Federal used SSP primers it gave me some flexibility if things got tight. Well things are tight now and it seems like I am seeing a lot more SSP in my 45 ACP range pickups. There is no way I am wasting SSP on 45 ACP. LOL I have been sorting them and throwing in a 5 gallon bucket for brighter days. Maybe one day I might even load some.

I hate them as well but I've got a big box of them cause eho knows what will happen with primers.

I have buckets of SPP 45 brass, sorted, separated & kept them in case I ran out of LPP brass. I won’t be loading them anytime soon but I’ll keep them just in case.

Yeah, I gave away buckets full of them, but now I’m starting to save them. Was actually switching from LPP to SPP, but have now decided to keep both.

I met a gentleman from this forum that traded me his LPP 45ACP price for my SPP 45ACP brass. He told me that I if I I ended up with anymore SPP 45 ACP brass, just let him know. I forget his name.

Are his initials TopRudder by chance?

Put all the SSP rounds in moon clips to feed the 625.. Stays sorted forever that way.
