20 year old looking for a play date

Maybe it's a 20 year old with a son?

Just trying to make the best of the info we've given.
Unfortunately not the case - some of the replies....
Hello. I have a 20-year-old son that spends a couple nights a week with me. If you’d like to give me a call we can discuss getting the boys together. My son is into sports and video games as are many his age.

I have a 17-year-old that is new to the area and looking for friends as well. I’m not sure about the age difference but he is a very mature 17-year-old. He’s more of an indoor kid but loves video games and will do things outside especially like basketball if he has friends. He’s also into acting and making movies and we have a small studio in our home and a theater if any of your sons are into movies.
P.S. my post was taken down :(

That is...depressing. Am I the only that thinks these parents are absolutely retarding their children's social development?

Buy the boy some tools and a non-running truck, maybe he'll keep himself busy and learn something in the process. Or better yet have him get a job and buy his own tools. But yet that isn't at all realistic is it?

I already tried this with my ex's boy. Feeling bad for him I gave the boy a gentleman's gentleman's loan for a truck on his 18th birthday. Turned out I wound up doing nearly all of the work myself. I haven't seen the first penny of that loan payment, and noticed the truck for sale in the classifieds the other day. Well, won't make that mistake again.

I know that wasn't what you were getting at, but it's what I got.

Kill the data plan on their phones. Password protected the wifi and don't tell them. Take away the power cords for the game systems and tell them they have ti earn them back and only then for a few hours after dark.

I bet that gets them out of the house and talking to people.

So where is the boy's dad in all this? Divorced, uninterested, got his own face buried in some video game? Or is he trying and his son doesn't want anything to do with him? Somebody please take both of them camping/fishing/kayaking/hunting/shooting.

I had to kick my own son out of the house at 22 and it was (almost) immediately a good thing for both of us and our relationship.
